Research Notes:

We report Susanna Yingling as the spouse of Samuel Wildasin, as do many other researchers. However, the notes above suggest only tenuous evidence for this relationship. Samuel may have had children as early as 1760, but Susanna Yingling may have been named in church records dated 1766 and 1770.

1756 We have seen reports of a marriage in Carroll County, Maryland. We seek documentation about the marriage of Samuel Wildasin and Susanna Yingling.

Find: History of the Samuel Wildasin and Catharine Wildasin family and others by Henry Wildasin, 1947.

"He signed his name Wendel Apfel on the passenger list of the ship "King of Prussia" from Baden Germany, upon which he and his brother George Appel arrived. A sister, Margaret came with them and married Samuel Wildasin …" [68]

1767 John Aplee received a grant of 221 acres of land situated in Manheim Twp, York County, which was surveyed on June 16, 1767. The tract was called many corners. He signed several deeds and was referred to a bookbinder. It is thought he had brothers Wendel Apfel and George Appel and a sister … (page has text Samuel Wildasin, but it is not shown in the snippet). [69]

1780 Susanna was reported buried in 1780. We seek documentation about her death.
