1850 B Newcomer (age 36, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Mifflin Twp, Ashland County, Ohio, in a household with A Newcomer (age 33), E Newcomer (age 16), Mary Newcomer (age 14), Harriett Newcomer (age 12), Susanna Newcomer (age 11), Barbara Newcomer (age 9), Nancy Newcomer (age 5), and Albert Newcomer (age 2). 1850 Elizabeth Newcomer died in December at age 16y 8m 7d and was buried at Brubaker Cemetery, Milton Township, Ashland County, Ohio. [8] [9]

1851 Benjamin and Nancy Newcomer and Christian Newcomer guardian of Benjamin Newcomer sold land to Peter Neusbaum in section 27 of Milton Twp, Ashland/Richland County, Ohio. Deed dated August 10. [11]

1852 Benjamin Newcomer died on March 27 and was buried at Brubaker Cemetery, Ashland, Ashland County, Ohio. [12] [13]

1860 Anna Newcomer (age 55, born in Ohio) lived in Ashland Twp, Ashland County, Ohio, in a household with Anna Newcomer (age 16), Albert Newcomer (age 13), and Amanda Newcomer (age 10). [14] Several of the nearby listings in the census (Shopbell's Carpenter shop, M Dessenber, H Sprangle, Mrs. Cook, and Mrs C Forbes) were shown on 1861 maps on the south side of Sandusky Street in Ashland, Ohio.

1861 Maps of Ashland County shows lots in Milton Twp owned by H Hartman (perhaps the spouse of sister Barbara), P W Brubaker (perhaps the spouse of sister Catharine), Jos Bechtel (perhaps husband of niece Anna Moyer), and J Halls (perhaps the administrator of George's will) in section 28. P Gongway and M Nucumber [Newcomer] had land in section 27. P Brubecker also had lands in sections 33 and 35. [15] [16]

1870 Anna Newcomer (age 54, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Ashland, Ashland County, Ohio, in a household with Albert B S Newcomer (21), George W Spencer (30), Catharine A Spencer (19), Frank Austin (34), Susan Austin (24), and Nettie Austin (10). [17]

1876 Anna Newcomer, wife of Benjamin Newcomer, died on October 10 and was buried at Brubaker Cemetery, Ashland, Ashland County, Ohio. [18] [19]

1914 Annie M Stentz, widowed, child of Benj. Newcome and Anna Albert, died on May 16, 1914, at age 69, in Monroeville Twp, Huron County, Ohio. Annie M Stentz was born on March 31, 1845, in Ohio. Annie M Stentz had lived at Monroeville County, Ohio. Annie M Stentz was Retired. [20] [21] [22]

1914 Mary Ann Swineford, widowed, child of Benj. Newcomer and Nancy Albright, died on August 7, 1914, at age 78, in Canton Twp, Stark County, Ohio. Mary Ann Swineford was born on January 13, 1836, in Ashland County, Ohio. [23]

1914 Albert B. Newcomer, son of Benjamin Newcomer and Anna Albert, died on November 12, in Ashland, Ashland County, Ohio. Albert was born on June 22, 1848. Albert was married. [24]

Born just south of Ashland near Stamen's Corners in Mifflin Twp. Daughters Mrs. O.J. Powell of 13 College Avenue, Mrs. F.R. Beer of Claremont Avenue, and Mrs. Samuel Downing of Akron, sisters Mrs. Barbara Simanton of Auburn IN, Mrs. Susan Austin of Monroeville in Huron Co., Mrs. Amanda Spencer and Mrs. Harriet Corts of Canton, deceased sisters Mrs. H.P. Stence who died in Monroeville and Mrs. Mary Swineford who died in Canton. Only son in family of seven.
