Edmond Fontaine was called "Petit Frère" by his family in Switzerland and France in the late 1930s.

1957 Raymonde, Dominique, and Sylvie A. Fontaine arrived in New York on Air France from Orly Airport near Paris on May 27. [1]

1960 Edmond G and Raymonde Fontaine were listed in the Norwalk, Connecticut, City Directory, living at 41 Wolfpit Av. Edmond was "mgr Westport." [2]

1963 Edmond G and Raymonde Z Fontaine were listed in the Norwalk, Connecticut, City Directory, living at 41 Wolfpit Av. Edmond was "mgr LaPetite Auberge." [3]

1964 Edmond Georges Fontaine and Raymonde Fontaine registered as aliens at the US District Court in New Haven, Connecticut, on November 13. Edmond was born on November 20, 1927, and Raymonde on October 23, 1923. They resided at 439 Old Country Road, Orange, Connecticut. [4] [5]

1964 Edmund G and Raymonde Fontaine were listed in the Milford, Connecticut, City Directory, living at 433 Old Country Rd, Milford, Connecticut. Edmond's occupation was headwaiter. [6]

2005 Edmond Georges Fontaine died on February 21. His Social Security records state that he was born on November 20 in Auxerre, Yonn, France, son of Edmond Fontaine and Amicy Chevalley, and that his last residence was Clearwater, Pinellas County, Florida. [7] [8] An obituary states, [9][10]

Fontaine, Edmond G., age 77, of Clearwater, died Monday (Feb. 21, 2005) at home under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. He was born in France and came here in 1995 from Denver. He was a retired chef and a French navy veteran. He was a member of Bayside Community Church of God, Safety Harbor. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Hwaja; two daughters, Dominique and Sylvia Fontaine, both of Hamden, Conn.; a brother, Jean, France; a sister, Simon Fontaine, Napa, Calif.; and a grandson. Curlew Hills Funeral Home, Palm Harbor.

2011 Raymonde Fontaine died on October 29. She was born on October 13, 1923. [12] An obituary states, "Raymonde Rebecca Fontaine died at The Hospice of Branford of complications associated with age and illness-accelerated dementia on Saturday, October 29, 2011. Born to Hananiah Zafrani and Ester Torjman Zafrani in Marrakesh, Morocco on October 13, 1923, Mrs. Fontaine was 88 years old and a resident of Hamden, CT. She immigrated to the United States from France in 1957 with her husband Edmond Fontaine, whom she met during his classical training as a Maître d'hôtel at the famed Mamounia Hotel in Marrakesh. Mrs. Fontaine was highly regarded as a clothing buyer, salesperson, and consultant, last working for Kramer's in New Haven. She is survived by her two daughters, Dominique Fontaine and Sylvie Fontaine, and a grandson, Ian Fenger. Private Funeral Service in care of the Robert E. Shure Funeral Home, New Haven will be held at Fountain Hill Cemetery, Deep River, CT." [13]
