1758 The will of Samuel Rogers of Burlington City was dated June 5, 1758 with inventory dated August 24, 1758. The will named wife Elizabeth and under-age children Elizabeth, Martha, Ann, John, and Samuel. Wife Elizabeth and Abraham Hewlings were named executors. Witnesses were William Blake, Thomas Rogers, and Daniel Ellis. Proved on August 28 1758. Inventory valued at 446.17.2 pounds including 24.17 bonds and notes; 3 negros and "prentis" boys time made by John Deacon and John Antrum. [1]

1764 William Lyndon, of Burlington, Burlington County, gunsmith, dated his will on April 3. Wife's son, John Rogers, my negro boy. Bill. Wife's daughter, Ann Rogers, negro girl, Milly. Wife's son, Samuel Rogers, negro, Levina, when they are 21. The negros became my property with my marriage with my wife. Wife, Elizabeth, all the goods she brought to me; also the house and lot where I live, and, at her death, said house and lot I give to my nephew, Lyndon Brown, he paying to his 3 brothers, William, John and Isaac Brown, £5 each. Wife, Elizabeth, the remainder. Executors: my wife, and Captain Aaron Schuyler. Witnesses: Samuel How, Ralph Price, William Hewlings. Proved June 25, 1771. [2]

1770 The inventory, dated June 27, showed a balance of £118.18.1, made by William Hewlings and Samuel How. [3]
