1923 Obituary: Zachariah Baker, age 71, who resided south of Albion, died last Thursday of Bright's disease. He was married in 1873 to Ellen Stoner, who survives with five children: Willis Baker and Mrs. Norley Hile [Nancy] of Elkhart, Samuel, Guy and Alvin of Noble County; and one sister, Mrs. James Himes of LaGrange. Funeral at Burr Oak Sunday. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery. [11]

1924 Ellen Jane Baker, widow, daughter of Jacob Stoner, spouse of Zachariah Baker, died, at age 70 on October 1, 1924, in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana. Ellen Jane Baker was born on February 18, 1854, in Indiana. [12]

1924 Ellen J. Baker was buried at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam, Noble County, Indiana, with inscription "Ellen J, his wife, 1854-1924". [13]

1924 Obituary: Ellen Baker, widow of the late Zachariah Baker, died of heart disease at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hile, in Elkhart Wednesday. She had been a resident of Noble County for many years and is survived by four sons and one daughter. Funeral Friday at Burr Oak Church. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery. [14]
