1880 Joseph Rohrer (age 50) and Harriet Rohrer (age 46) lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana with children Sarah Rohrer (age 22), Emanuel Rohrer (age 20), Lovina Rohrer (age 19), Isaiah Rohrer (age 17), Josiah Rohrer (age 14), Elmira Rohrer (age 12), Elisabeth Rohrer (age 9), Rosia M Rohrer (age 4), and Lovisa Rohrer (age 1). 1880 Charls W. Neterer (age 11, born in Indiana, single), son, lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Samuel Neterer (age 48), Elisabeth Neterer (age 45), Jeremiah Neterer (age 18), John Neterer (age 16), William Neterer (age 13), Samuel Neterer (age 7), and George Neterer (age 4). Charls W. Neterer's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. [3]

1891 Lizzie Rohrer and Charles W Neterer were married on December 24, in Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana by Andrew Good. [4] [5] [6] [7] [8]

1895 A newspaper notice reported: "Joseph Rohrer, through his attorney, Wilson Roose, petitioned the court to investigate the soundness of mind of Elizabeth Neterer, and if necessary, appoint a guardian." [9] [10]

1900 Elizabeth Neterer (born in Indiana in April 1871, married for 8 years), wife, lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Charles W Neterer (age 31), Hattie Neterer (age 7), Clara K Neterer (age 6), Morris Neterer (age 4), and Arthur Neterer (age 2). Elizabeth Neterer's parents were both born in Ohio. Elizabeth Neterer had had 4 children, 4 still living. [11] [12]

1908 Hattie Neterer, single, died on December 8, at age 16, in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana. She was born on July 21, 1892, in Indiana, daughter of Charles Wesley Neterer and Elizabeth Rohrer. [13]

1908 Arthur Clayton Neterer died on September 12, at age 10, in Harrison, Elkhart County, Indiana. He was born on June 1, 1898, in Indiana, son of Charles Wesley Neterer and Elizabeth Rohrer. [14]

1910 Elizabeth Neterer (age 39, born in Indiana, married), wife, lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Charles W Neterer (age 41), Moros J Neterer (age 14), Vernon Neterer (age 5), Clara E Neterer (age 15), and Mable M Neterer (age 4). Elizabeth Neterer's father was born in Pennsylvania and her mother was born in Ohio. Elizabeth Neterer could read and write. [15] [16]

1912 Russel E. Neterer, son of Chas Wes Neterer and Elizabeth Roher, was born on July 18 in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana. [17]

1916 Charles N. Neterer, married, spouse of Lizzie Neterer, died on December 27, at age 47, in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana. He was born on April 29, 1869, in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, son of Samuel Neterer and Elizabeth Neterer. [18]

1916 Charles Wesley Neterer died on December 27 and was buried at Harrison Chapel Cemetery, Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana. [19] [20]

Charles Wesley Neterer, son of Samuel and Elizabeth Neterer, was born in Harrison township, Elkhart county, Indiana, April 25, 1869. He spent his boyhood days on the old farm where he resided at the time of his death. On Dec. 24, 1891 he was married to Lizzie Rohrer and to this union were born eight children, five of whom survive, Arthur and Hattie departing this life in 1908 and one in infancy. Mr. Neterer was converted in the winter of 1909, in a revival meeting held in the South West church, and the following year he united with the church, and up to the time of his death was an active member of the church serving in whatever capacity he was called upon. Several months ago he met with an accident which resulted in his death. He fell while making some repairs on the roof. About three weeks ago he went to Elkhart to take medical treatments and while there, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Miller, he collapsed and gradually sank, and on the night of Dec. 27 he slipped away to his eternal reward at the age of 47 years, 8 months and 2 days. Time and time again he said that all was well, and he was ready. He was a lover of his family and was concerned in their welfare. He leaves a wife, three sons, Morris, Vernon and Russell; two daughters, Clara and Mabel, an aged mother, for whose comforts he was to provide during her lifetime; five brothers, Jeremiah of Seattle, Wash.; William of Chicago; John, of Cassopolis, Mich.; Samuel, of Goshen; and George of LaSalle, Ill., besides a host of other relatives and friends. In the death of Brother Neterer the home has lost its head, the mother her son, the community a neighbor and the church an earnest worker. Funeral services were held at the Mennonite church at South West, Dec. 31, conducted by A. B. Yoder and H. M. Metzger. On account of the large attendance, services were held in the schoolhouse also, H. M. Metzger preaching there. Jan. 4, 1917.

1917 Clara E Neterer and Walter R Metzler were married on January 28 in Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana. Clara E Neterer, daughter of Chas W Neterer and Elizabeth Rohm, was born on 12 Aug 1895 in Goshen, Ind. [28]

1920 Lizza Neterer (age 48, born in Indiana, widowed) lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Vernon R Neterer (age 15), Mable M Neterer (age 13), and Russel A Neterer (age 7). Lizza Neterer's father was born in Pennsylvania and her mother was born in Ohio. Lizza Neterer's occupation was laborer, General Home Work, wage or salary. [29]

1925 Vernon R. Neterer and Ethel Elizabeth Gordon were married on March 7 in Elkhart County, Indiana. Vernon R. Neterer, son of Wesley Neterer and Elizabeth Rohrer, was born on 10 May 1904 in Elkhart County, Indiana. [30]

1925 Mable May Neterer, age 19, and Elmer J Weaver were married on April 11 in Indiana. Mable May Neterer, daughter of Charles Wesley Neterer and Elizabeth Rohrer, was born on 6 May 1906 in Elkhart County, Indiana. [31]

1930 Elizabeth Neterer (age 56, born in Indiana, widowed, first married at age 22), mother-in-law, lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Elmer J Weaver (age 30), Mabel May Weaver (age 24), Anna Marie Weaver (age 4), Phyllis Joan Weaver (age 2), Maxine June Weaver (age 1), and C Russell Neterer (age 18). 1931 Charles Russell Neterer and Thelma Fern Metzler were married on December 25 in Elkhart County, Indiana. Charles Russell Neterer, son of Charles Wesley Neterer and Elizabeth Rohres, was born on 18 Jul 1912 in Elkhart County, Indiana. [33] [34]

1940 Elizabeth Neterer (age 69, born in Indiana, widowed), mother-in-law, lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Elmer J Weaver (age 40), Mabel Weaver (age 34), Anna Marie Weaver (age 14), Phyllis Weaver (age 12), and Maxine Weaver (age 11). The highest grade of school she had completed was Elementary school, 8th grade. [35] [36]

1941 Elizabeth Neterer, married, daughter of J J Rohrer and Harret Mayer, spouse of Charles W Neterer, died at age 70, on June 27, 1941 in Elkhart County, Indiana. Elizabeth Neterer was born on April 15, 1871 in Indiana. [37]

1941 Elizabeth Neterer died on June 27 and was buried at Harrison Chapel Cemetery, Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana. [38] [39]

Mrs. Elizabeth Rohrer Neterer, 70, died at 7:30 Friday morning at her home in South West. She has been ill since May 22. The deceased, daughter of Joseph and Harriet (Moyer) Rohrer, was born in Elkhart county, April 15, 1871. Her husband, Charles Wesley Neterer, whom she married December 24, 1891, died December 27, 1916. Surviving are five children, Mrs. Walter (Clara) Metzler of this place, Morris Neterer of Kansas City, Mo., Vernon Neterer of Nappanee, Mrs. Elmer (Mabel) Weaver of South West, and Russell Neterer of Huntington; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Josiah Rohrer of South West, and a sister, Mrs. Louise Doering of Elkhart. Three children, Hattie, Arthur and Elizabeth, preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p. m. at the home and at 2:30 at the South West Mennonite Brethren in Christ church, of which the deceased was a member. The Rev. A. B. Yoder and the Rev. Delmer Horn officiated. Burial was made in Chapel cemetery, one and one-half miles north of South West. July 3, 1941.

1982 Morris J Neterer, married, spouse of Harriett Neterer, died on December 31, at age 86, in Wakarusa, Elkhart County, Indiana. He was born on February 1, 1896, in Ind, son of Wesley Neterer and Elizabeth Neterer. [40]

1991 Mabel M Sark, married, spouse of Howard A Sark, died on August 16, at age 85, in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana. She was born on May 6, 1906, in Elkhart County Indiana, daughter of Samuel Neterer and Elizabeth Neterer. [41]
