1913 Henry Doering died on June 28 at age 41 in Elkhart, Indiana. [17] An obituary reported [18]:

Henry Doering, aged 41 years, and a Lake Shore fireman, died at his home in Elkhart last Friday. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, five brothers: Daniel, John H, George, and Calvin, of Wakarusa; and William, of Goshen; and five sisters: Mrs Guy Vail, and Mrs Enos Newcomer and Mrs John Sloat, of Nappanee, and Mrs William Bigler, of Goshen. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at Elkhart the interment being made at Goshen. Mr and Mrs. Enos Newcomer and Mr and Mrs John Sloat and families attended from Nappanee. Deceased was a member of Nappanee lodge Knights of Pythias.

1913 "Louise Doering, gdn. of minor heirs of Henry Doering filed inventory at $1,000." [19] [20]

1919 "Mrs. Louise Doering and daughter, Marjorie, and Miss Weiss visited D. Doering and family Sunday." [21] [22]

1920 Louisa Doering (age 40), widow, lived in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana with daughter Marjorie (age 9) and 2 boarders. The places of birth of her parents (Ohio and Indiana) match Louisa Rohrer. [23] [24]

1927 Louise Doering moved from Tipton, to Elkhart, Indiana. [25] [26]:

Mrs. Louise Doering and daughter Marjorie, who have been residing in Tipton for the past five years, will leave this week for Elkhart, their future home. Mrs. Doering has been employed at the Commercial hotel, having come here while Manager Dobson had charge of the hotel. The daughter Marjorie has been a student in the schools and is a junior in the high school, having just completed the first semester of her junior year.

Mrs. Doering and daughter have had apartments at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Wells on West Adams street.

They are returning to their furnished home in Elkhart, which has been leased during their residence in Tipton and the daughter will complete her high school work in the Elkhart school. Mrs. Doering will go to Elkhart-Tuesday and the daughter Saturday.

1927 A farewell party was given for Marjorie Doering. [27] [28]:

Miss Marjorie Doering a member of the Sunday school class of the Kemp Methodist church, sunday school taught by Mrs. R. C Beaumont was the guest of honor at a farewell party given at the home of Miss Daurlce Oglebey on South East street Tuesday night. Games, music and contests with ice cream and cake and hot chocolate were features of the evening. Those present .were Mrs. Beaumont and the Misses Marjorle Doering, Louise Thompson, Jewel Adair, Belle Jean Vandevender, Nedra Shaw, Margaret Martin, Juanita McNew, Grace Campbell, Hester Utterback, Roberta Ulrich, and Daurice Oglebay. Miss Doering and her mother are leaving Tipton to make their future home in Elkhart.

1930 Louise Doering (age 50, born in Indiana, widowed, first married at age 24) lived in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Marjorie Doering (age 19). Louise Doering's father was born in Pennsylvania and her mother was born in Ohio. Louise Doering's occupation was inspectress, Hotel, wage or salary worker. The residence did not have a radio. Marjorie was an electric light clerk. [29] [30]

1931 Daughter Marjorie H Doering, heir of Henry Doering, reached age 21 on June 6, and released Louise Doering as her guardian. [31] [32]

1936 Marjorie Harriet Doering, daughter of Louise Rohrer and Henry Doering, married Keith M. Landon on September 12 at Elkhart, Indiana. Marjorie was born on JAN 6, 1910 [should be JUN, perhaps]. [33] [34]

1940 Louise Doering (age 61, born in Indiana, widowed), mother-in-law, lived in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Keith Landon (age 38), and Marjorie Landon (age 28). Louise Doering's occupation was housekeeper, wage or salary worker in private work. The highest grade of school she had completed was Elementary school, 8th grade. [35] [36]

1970 Marjorie H Landon died on February 16 in Charlotte County, Florida. Marjorie H Landon was born on June 6, 1910. [41]
