1850 Noah Hoffman (age 7, born in Ohio) lived in North Bloomfield Twp, Morrow County, Ohio, in a household with Michael Hoffman (age 31), Sarah A Hoffman (age 28), Rebecca Hoffman (age 8), John Hoffman (age 6), Mary A Hoffman (age 5), Cardine Hoffman (age 4), Susan Hoffman (age 2), and Adam Hoffman (age 28). 1860 Noah Hoffman (age 16, born in Ohio) lived in North Bloomfield Twp, Morrow County, Ohio, in a household with Michl Hoffman (age 40), Sarah Hoffman (age 37), Rebecca Hoffman (age 18), John Hoffman (age 14), Mary Hoffman (age 13), Caroline Hoffman (age 11), Susannah Hoffman (age 9), and Jesse Hoffman (age 7). Noah Hoffman was a farm hand. [3]

1863 Noah Huffman, age 20, born in Ohio, registered for the draft in Morrow County, Ohio. [4]

1864 Noah Huffman enlisted on May 2, 1864 and was discharged on August 31. He was a private in the army. [5]

1869 Noah Huffman and Susan Baggs were married on October 7 at Morrow County, Ohio. [6] [7]

1870 Noah Huffman (age 26, born in Ohio) lived in North Bloomfield Twp, Morrow County, Ohio, in a household with Susan Huffman (age 25). Noah Huffman was a farmer. [8] [9]

1880 Noe Huffman (age 38, born in Ohio, married) lived in North Bloomfield Twp, Morrow County, Ohio, in a household with Susan Huffman (age 41), and Maggie E. Huffman (age 2). Noe Huffman was a farmer. [10] [11] Margaret Baggs (perhaps Susan's mother) was listed adjacent.

1900 Noah Huffman (born in Ohio in Feb 1848, married for 30 years) lived in North Bloomfield Twp, Morrow County, Ohio, in a household with Susan Huffman (age 66). Noah Huffman's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. Noah Huffman was a farmer. [12] [13]

1908 C.H. Henkel was appointed administrator of the estate of Michael Hoffman, late of Polk Twp, Crawford County, Ohio. Sureties by Henry Kreiter, Elizabeth Barr, and Tobias Merkel. [14]

1908 Notices of the inventory of the estate of Michael Hoffman were delivered to Noah Hoffman, Susan Glatfelter, Lavina Hoffman, Rebecca Lanius, and Amanda Henkel, legatees and next of kin of the said deceased on March 27. The appraisal listed real estate including lot 13 in Galion Ohio, and land in North Bloomfield, Morrow County, that Noyer had conveyed to Hoffman in 1908. [15]

1910 Noah Huffman (age 68, born in Ohio, married for 40 years) lived in Springfield Twp, Richland County, Ohio, in a household with Susan Huffman (age 72), John T Shaffer (age 40), Etta M Shaffer (age 32), and Florence I Shaffer (age 0). Noah Huffman's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. Noah Huffman could read and write. [16] [17]

1917 Susan Hoffman, wife of Noah Hoffman, died at age 79 in Mansfield, Ohio. [18] [19] [20] [21] [22]

Mrs. Susan Huffman, aged 79 years and wife of Noah Huffman, died at her home four miles west of the city on the Park avenue west road Thursday [June 14] at 11 p.m. Death was due to heart trouble. Her husband, one daughter, Mrs. J. T. ShafTer, two sisters ,Mrs. Sarah Brodebeck, Ithica, Mich., and Mrs. Martha Hayden, Chesaning, Mich., and one brother, John Baggs, Lexington, survive; Funeral services Sunday at 1:30 p.m., from the home will be conducted by the Rev. George Kent. Burial will be in the Lexington cemetery.

1920 Noah Hoffman (age 76, widowed) lived in Richland County, Ohio in the home of John Shafer (age 49) and Etta Shafer (age 42) and their children. [24] [25]

1924 Noah Hoffman died on November 11 at Springfield, Richland County, Ohio. He was married to Susan Hoffman and was retired. Born 15 February, 1843 at Morrow County, Ohio, son of Michael Hoffman and Sarah Bortner. Buried at Lexington Cemetery. [26]

1924 Noah Huffman died on November 11 and was buried at Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Richland County, Ohio. Noah Huffman was born on February 15, 1843. [27] [28]

A biosketch reports: "Noah Huffman, farmer; P.O. Galion; son of Michael and Sarah (Bortner) Huffman, was born Feb. 15, 1843, in what is now Morrow Co. Mr. Huffman lived under the parental roof until his marriage, and assisted his father in the management of the farm; he was married Oct. 6,1869, to Susan, daughter of James and Margaret Baggs. She was born March 12, 1838, in this township, where she has always lived. They have one child - Maggie E., born Nov. 12, 1877. Mr. Huffman is a member of the English-Lutheran Church, and his wife, of the U. P. Church. He owns over one hundred acres of land in this county, and is well fixed in life for one so young. He has always been identified with the Democratic party." [29]

1949 Etta Shaffer, daughter of Noah Hoffman and Susan Baggs, died on December 30 in Richland County, Ohio. [30]
