1789 Samuel Good, son of Peter Good and Anna Oberholtzer, was born about this time. [1]

1806-1813 Samuel and Peter Good were taxed together for land in Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County. [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13]

1814-1818 Samuel Good, Peters son, was taxed in Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County. [14] [15] [16] [17] [18]

1818 On 27 March, Peter and Samuel Good, sons of Peter Good, deceased, of Brecknock Twp divided land from the estate of Peter, with the consent of widow Anna Good. Each of Peter and Samuel got about 104 acres of land. Other heirs named were Jacob Good, Barbara the wife of Christian Horst, Christian Good, Joseph Good, and Fronica Good, who had conveyed their shares in a deed dated April 2, 1808. [19]

1820 The name of Samuel Good, Peter's son, was crossed out on the Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County tax list and was replaced by the names Christn Schneder & Peter Behm. [20]

1821 Samuel Good (Peter son) Freem was taxed in Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County. [21]

1822 Samuel Good released Jacob Good from any claim to the estate of his father Peter Good, by deed dated April 30. The heirs of Peter Good, deceased, were named as wife Ann and children Jacob Good, Samuel Good, Peter Good, Joseph Good, Christian Good, Barbara wife of Christian Hurst, and Fronica Good. [22]

Samuel Good died after April 30, 1822. [23]

Research Notes:

Several men named Samuel Good were taxed at the same time in Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County. The tax lists use identifiable notes to distinguish them. [Link, 1801-20 Samuel Good Brecknock tax records.]

1822 Samuel Good Senior was taxed in Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County for 20 acres. [24]

1823 The name of Samuel Good Sen was crossed out on the Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County tax list and was replaced by "x Peter John". [25]

1825 Samuel, son of Samuel was taxed in Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County. [26]

1826 John, Petter, Christian, and Samuel, sons of Samuel were taxed in Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County. [27]

1833 Samuel Good was buried at Pine Grove Mennonite Cemetery, Bowmansville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Reported as the son of John Good. [28] [29]

Other researchers have reported this Samuel, son of Peter Good and Anna Oberholtzer, as the same person as Samuel, died on July 22, 1833, with wife Barbara. We seek evidence for these possible facts.

1850 Samuel Good (age 61, born in Pennsylvania, pauper) lived in Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Barbara Good (age 50), Daniel Good (age 16), and Jacob Good (age 13). [30]
