Research Notes:

The 1750 patent suggests that Martin Huber was age 21 by then, so he was likely born before 1729. Several researchers have suggested his baptism on February 7, 1736 in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, but this could not be the same person.

Some researchers suggest that Catherine Sherk married Martin Huber who died in 1816 in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. We suspect that this other research is incorrect but seek further evidence to clarify whether our notes above relate to Martin Huber, the spouse of Catherine Sherk. [38]
