1783 Adam Bahn was taxed 658 pounds in Hellam Twp, York County, Pennsylvania for 140 acres, a still, and 1 Negro. [7]

1784 Adam Bahn and Elizabeth Herbach were married on September 19, at First Trinity Reformed Church in York, York County, Pennsylvania. [8] [9]

1798 Adam Cramer dated his will on June 2, in York Borough, with probate on February 8, 1800. Executors: Martin Gartner and Adam Bahn. Wife: Ann Elizabeth Cremer. Children: Elizabeth, Adam, Jacob, Catharine, Eve, Abraham, and Peter. [14]

1804 A tract patented by John R Coates, in Hellam Twp, York County, was granted to Adam Bahn. [15]

1805 Henry Bahn (age 19), Adam Bahn (age 18), and Elizabeth Bahn (age 17), grand-children of John Harbach, deceased, chose Adam Bahn as guardian for the estate inherited from their grand-father, in right of their mother, deceased. Dated on June 26, at the York County Orphans' Court. [16]

1818 Adam Bahn, of Hellam Twp, paid Thomas Cadwalader, of Philadelphia for the quit rents due on a tract of land in the Manor of Springetsbury, Hellam Twp, York County. The 204 acre tract was adjoining lands of Jacob Shoe, Andrew Ferree, Joseph Kauffman deceased, and others. The deed was dated on August 27 and was witnessed by Jos Welshans and Elizabeth Heistand. 1818 Quit rents for father Henry Bahn's tract in Springetsbury Manor, York County were released to Adam Bahn. Dated on August 27. [18]

1736 Blunston License, dated October 30, 1736. Warrant for 200 acres to Henry Baun. [19]

1768 A land patent for 204.5 acres in the Manor of Springetsbury, Hellam Twp, York County was granted to Henry Baun. The tract was called "Speier" and was adjacent to lands of Peter Boyers, Henry Welshoeffer, Henry Kann, Daniel Harman, Benedict Funk, and Jacob Lanius. The patent was dated September 17. [20]

1768 A land survey of a 204.5 acre tract in the Manor of Springetsbury, Hellam Twp, York County, was made for Henry Bahn for a warrant dated October 30, 1736. The survey showed adjacent tracts of Daniel Hanman, Benedict Funk, Jacob Lanius, Peter Boyer, and Henry Kann. [21]

1818 Quit rents released August 27, 1818, 204 acres to Adam Bahn. York Deed 3D-63.

1818 Adam Bahn Jr, of Hellam Twp, paid Thomas Cadwalader, of Philadelphia for the quit rents due on a tract of land in the Manor of Springetsbury, Hellam Twp, York County. The 70 acre 40 perches tract was adjoining lands of William Nes, John Erb, Thomas Niels, and heirs of Christian Longenecker. The deed was dated on November 11 and was witnessed by Leitner and Barnitz. [22]

1819 Johan Adam Bahn died on July 26. A memorial stone is at Old Kreutz Creek Cemetery, Hallam, York County, Pennsylvania. [23]

1819 Adam Bahn, oldest son and heir of Adam Bahn Sen, deceased, petitioned the York County Orphans Court to partition the estate. The 200 acre tract was in Hellam Twp, adjacent to lands of Jacob Shue, Henry Shue, Joseph Kauffman, Andrew Ferree, and others. Another 25 acre tract was adjacent to lands of Jacob Strickler and Abraham Miller. Also other tracts. The heirs were widow Catherine; six living children Adam, Joseph, Mary, George, David, and Samuel; and the issue of Henry Bahn, deceased, viz, Jacob, John, Henry, and Mary. Dated September 14. [24]

A biosketch of great-grandson John A. Bahn reports [25]:

John [Adam] Bahn, the great-grandfather of our subject, was a distiller of York county, and his son Adam Bahn, the grandfather of John A. Bahn, was born in Hellam Twp, York County, where he followed farming.
