Notes for Jacob Nunemaker and Eva Ruhl

1800 Eva Ruhl, daughter of Heinrich Ruhl and Margreda, was born on July 17. Johann and Margretta Baly were sponsors. [1]

c 1825 Jacob Nunemaker and Eva Ruhl were married, based on the 1830 census record and the will of Henry Ruhl [Eve's children named John and Isaac Nunemaker were named in the will].

1830 Henry Ruhl of Sandusky Twp, Richland County, Ohio dated his will on January 5. The will was in probate on March 2. Sons Michael and Jacob were named executors. Named as heirs were Henry's wife Margaret, daughter Betsy Gerberich, daughter Polly Rule, daughter Eve's sons John and Isaac Nunemaker, sons John and Michael and Jacob, daughter Lydia, and daughter Susanna Hoffman. Christian Snyder, Adam Ashcraft, and Henry Harshinger were named as appraisers of the estate. Michael and Jacob Ruhl were named as being of Sandusky Twp. The estate was settled by March 9. Adam Hoffman (possible son-in-law) owed the estate $266.66 at the time of death of Henry. John Gerberich (possible son-in-law) was also named in the accounts. [2]

1830 Jacob Nunamacker lived in Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania, in a household with males: 1 (under 5), 1 (5 thru 9), and 1 (30 thru 39). [3] No wife was listed. Eva had already died. Jacob Nunamacker Sr was listed at the top of the census page.

The two sons in the 1830 census were likely named Isaac and John. These names are consistent with the 1860 Political announcement and with the 1879 estate administration by John R. Nonemaker.

c 1835 Jacob Nunemaker and Lydia Ehart were married [Jacob's second marriage], based on the 1840 census record.

1840 Jacob Nunamaker lived in Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 1 (under 5), 1 (15 thru 19), and 1 (40 thru 49); and females: 2 (under 5), 1 (5 thru 9), and 1 (20 thru 29). [4]

1850 John R Nunamaker (age 28, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Nancy A Nunamaker (age 26), Eliza Nunamaker (age 4), Angeline Nunamaker (age 2), Eli Nunamaker (age 1), and Jacob Roser Nunamaker (age 8). John R Nunamaker was a farmer. [5]

1850 Isaac Nunamaker (age 25, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Lenah Swartz (age 40), Israel Swartz (age 21), George Swartz (age 14), Daniel Swartz (age 12), William Swartz (age 6), Henriette Nunamaker (age 18), and Julia A Nunamaker (age 1). Isaac Nunamaker was a laborer. [6]

1850 Jacob Nunamaker (age 50, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Lydia Nunamaker (age 37), Rebecca Nunamaker (age 17), Henrietta Nunamaker (age 15), Catherine Nunamaker (age 12), William Nunamaker (age 11), Adam Nunamaker (age 9), James Nunamaker (age 7), Louisa Nunamaker (age 5), and Celinda Nunamaker (age 2). 1860 Jacob Nonemaker (age 61, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Lydia Nonemaker (age 47), William Nonemaker (age 22), Catherine Nonemaker (age 20), Adam Nonemaker (age 18), James Nonemaker (age 16), Louisa Nonemaker (age 14), Malinda Nonemaker (age 11), Franklin Nonemaker (age 9), Albert Nonemaker (age 7), and Savilla Nonemaker (age 5). 1870 Jac. Nonemaker (age 71, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Lydia Nonemaker (age 62), James Nonemaker (age 27), Celinda Nonemaker (age 22), Jac F Nonemaker (age 19), Albert Nonemaker (age 16), and Melinda Nonemaker (age 13). Joe Nonemaker was a blacksmith. [14]

1878 Jacob Nonemaker died on December 30 at York, York County, Pennsylvania and was buried at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Beaver City, Clarion County, Pennsylvania. Jacob Nonemaker was born on January 10, 1800. [15] [16]

1885 John R Nonemaker was appointed postmaster at New Freedom Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [20]

1878 Jacob Nonemaker, late of New Freedom Borough, died on December 28. [21]

1911 Henrietta Swartz Nonemaker [wife of Isaac Nonemaker] died on December 5 and was buried at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Shrewsbury, York County, Pennsylvania. Henrietta Swartz Nonemaker was born on December 12, 1831. [28]

1918 Lydia Ann Grove died on December 13, at age 65, in York Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. She was born on May 15, 1853, in York County, daughter of John R Nonemaker and Nancy Ann Cooper. [29]

1921 William Henry Nonemaker died on December 30, at age 83, in New Freedom, York County, Pennsylvania. He was born on March 27, 1838, in Pennsylvania, son of Jacob Nonemaker. [30]

1929 Amos Henry Nonemaker, spouse of M Jane, died on July 16, at age 71, in New Freedom Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. He was born on November 19, 1857, in New Freedom, Pennsylvania, son of Isaac Nonemaker and Heneretta Swartz. [31]
