Georg Wilhelm was born on July 2, 1765, in Pennsylvania. [2]

1767 William Rule applied for 100 acres in Codorus Twp, York County [3] surveyed October 14, 1768 for 94 acres called "Two Springs", joining John Rule, Adam Stalby and Jacob Hetrick. [4].

William Ruhl of Codorus Twp, intestate, left issue Philip, Jacob, John, George, Catherine wife of Peter Snyder, Anna Mary wife of William Hinrim, Barbara wife of Thomas Hinrim, and Peter (deceased with 6 issue). Intestate owned 200 acres in Codorus Twp. An inquest is awarded. Dated November 8, 1815. [53] On petition of Rachel widow of Peter Ruhl, Jacob Ruhl is appointed guardian of Peter's issue: William, Peter, Elizabeth, Sarah, Rachel, Mary Ann - all under 14 years of age - for the estate coming to them from their grandfather William Ruhl. Dated December 12, 1815. [54] Real estate of William Ruhl is valued at $2701.93, and is decreed to Philip Ruhl. The heirs were named. Dated May 14, 1816. [55] Elizabeth Ruhl, widow of Jacob, petitioned that Henry Ruhl be appointed guardian of Henry and Polly Ruhl and that Peter Klinefelter be appointed guardian of Rachel and Jacob Ruhl. Dated February 13, 1816. [56]

1816 Philip Ruhl and wife Barbara of Baltimore County, Maryland granted land to William Hinrim farmer of Codorus Twp, York County. The land was in Codorus Twp adjacent to lands of John Ruhl, Jacob Steffie, Abraham Weber, John Snider, Henry Ruhl, containing 97 acres. The tract was part of the "Two Springs" tract previously granted by patent to William Ruhl. Dated June 13. [76]

1823 William Hinam sold water rights for a spring on his land to Henry Rule, both of Codorus Twp. Dated March 15. [77]

1831 William Hinam of Shrewsbury Twp, York County granted his estate to step-son Jesse Hoshall. Jesse was to provide for William and his wife Anna Maria. Dated August 31. [78]

1801-1817 Tax records for William and sons in Codorus Twp, York County, with acres taxed (n.a. if not listed). The tax records and the records cited above suggest that son Peter took over the farm from William in 1804. Perhaps Philip transferred his land to Jacob in 1805 and moved to Maryland. There was a fire accident (recorded between the listings for William and Peter) in 1810 and William returned to the list with 150+ acres and Peter was listed with no land through 1812 and then was not listed after 1812. After William's death in 1815, eldest son Philip returned from Maryland and sold William's land to son-in-law William Hinam (spouse of daughter Anna Maria).
