c 1811 Christiana Rohrbach, daughter of Samuel and Margareth Rohrbach, was born in Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [1]

1833 Christiana Rohrbach and Jacob Frey were married on March 24. [2]

1835 Anna Catharina Frey, child of Jacob Frey and Christina Frey, was baptized on March 24, 1835, in St Jacobs (Stone), Brodbecks, York County, Pennsylvania. Anna Catharina Frey was born on February 11, 1835, in Pennsylvania. [3]

1836 George Frey, child of Jacob Frey and Christine Frey, was baptized on December 25, 1836, in St Jacobs (Stone), Brodbecks, York County, Pennsylvania. George Frey was born on October 23. [4]

1840 Jacob Fry lived in Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 2 (under 5) and 1 (30 thru 39); and females: 1 (under 5), 1 (5 thru 9), and 1 (20 thru 29). [5] On the same census page was Samuel Rohrbach, father of Christiana Jane.

1850 Christena Fry (age 39, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Jacob Fry (age 40), George Fry (age 15), Jacob Fry (age 14), William Fry (age 5), and Emanuel Fry (age 2). Both Jacob and son George were blacksmiths. [8]

1860 Jane Fry (age 50, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Glen Rock Twp, York County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Jacob Fry (age 53), Sophia Fry (age 20), William Fry (age 17), Emanuel Fry (age 14), and John Fry (age 11). Jacob was a blacksmith. [9] Levi Fry (age 30) was the adjacent listing.

1865 Daughter Sophia Fry died on March 18 and was buried at New Hope United Church of Christ Cemetery, Glen Rock, York County, Pennsylvania. Sophia Fry was born on January 8, 1840. [10] [11]

1870 Christian[a] Frey (age 58, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Glen Rock Twp, York County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Jacob Frey (age 60), and Emmuel Frey (age 22). Jacob and Emanuel were blacksmiths. [12]

1873 Jacob Fry died on November 2 and was buried at New Hope United Church of Christ Cemetery, Glen Rock, York County, Pennsylvania. Jacob Fry was born on July 15, 1809. [13] [14]

1899 George Washington Frey died on July 26 and was buried at Broken Bow Cemetery, Broken Bow, Custer County, Nebraska. George Washington Frey was born on October 23, 1836. [15] [16]

1880 Christianna Fry (age 75, born in Pennsylvania, widowed), grandmother in law, lived in Baltimore, Maryland, in a household with William A. Mcdade (age 30), Catharine Mcdade (age 26), Georgeanna Mcdade (age 7), Mary J. Mcdade (age 6), George M. Fry (age 46), and Isabella Fry (age 46). Christianna Fry's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. [17]

1880 Son Emanuel Fry (age 31, born in Pennsylvania, married) lived in Glen Rock, York County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Mary A. Fry (age 29), John W. Fry (age 8), Elsworth Fry (age 6), Eml Robert Fry (age 4), and Cora M. Fry (age 1). Emanuel Fry's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. Emanuel Fry's occupation was blacksmith. [18]

1901 Christina May Fry, spouse of Jacob Fry, died on December 25 at age 94y ?m 15d and was buried at New Hope United Church of Christ Cemetery, Glen Rock, York County, Pennsylvania. She was perhaps born on December 10, 1807. [19] [20]

1928 Emanuel Rohrbaugh Frey died on April 22 at Baltimore, Baltimore City, Maryland and was buried at Parkwood Cemetery and Mausoleum, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Maryland. Emanuel Rohrbaugh Frey was born on May 1, 1848. [21] [22]

Emanuel, a blacksmith, was the son of Jacob and Christina Rohrbaugh Frey.

He enlisted in Battery B of the 1st Pennsylvania Light Artillery at Carlisle, Pa., on February 8, 1864. He served until mustered out on June 9, 1865, four months prior to Oct. 12, 1865, when the remainder of the company was mustered out.

His Civil War Pension file, in which he consistently signed his name as "Fry," enumerates the many injuries he incurred in the war as attested to by Dr. Seitz of Glen Rock, Pa., in 1890: deaf in the left ear with decreased hearing in the right ear due to proximity to the guns; blind in right eye with occipital neuralgia due to a cut that was sewn at Northanna River; lumbar pain; non-weight-bearing left leg due to being kicked by a horse and then struck by a shell fragment on the same leg at Petersburg; jaundice.

He died due to a fall from a second story window. Information passed down through the family indicates that he suffered post-traumatic stress disorder and had frequent nightmares about his war experiences. His accidental death occurred during one such episode.

During his final days he was cared for by his daughter, Mrs. Thomas M. Smith.
His death certificate (Md. #33168) originally gave his year of birth as 1851 and was then altered to 1848.

His marriage to Mary Ann "Carker" is recorded in the records of Immanuel Evangelical Church, Glen Rock, Pa., as Sept. 29, 1870.

The children listed in his Civil War pension application and their dates of birth are as follows: John W. Fry, 8/1/1871; Ellsworth Fry, 9/19/1873; E. Robert Fry, 3/7/1876; Cora M. Fry, 2/19/1883; Geo. Franklin Fry, 11/9/1885; Clarence Harrison Fry, 5/5/1888; and Florence Fry, 4/30/1891.

1936 William R Frey, spouse of Mary Seitz Frey, died on September 26 in Winfield, Butler County, Pennsylvania. He was born on July 21, 1844, in Glen Rock York County, Pennsylvania, son of Jacob Frey and Rohrbach. [23]
