1779 John Meyer [Mayer], perhaps this one, was taxed as a freeman in Manheim Twp, Lancaster County. [1]

1782 John Meyer [Mayer] was taxed in Manheim Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania for 200 acres, 5 horses, and 6 cattle. [2]

1820 John Myers lived in Manheim Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 1 (16 thru 25) and 1 (26 thru 44); and females: 1 (under 10) and 1 (16 thru 25). [3]

We have not followed the descendants of this line, but other researchers have followed them.

1826 Land from the estate of John Moyer, perhaps this one, was offered for sale by Christian Moyer, perhaps his half-brother.

A Farm for Sale.
Will be sold at public sale, on Saturday, the 9th day of September next, on the premises, about 1½ miles south of Hagerstown, the Plantation of the late John Moyer, dec'd. containing 180 Acres, 75 or 80 of which are cleared, and in a high state of cultivation, and the balance well timbered. The improvements consist of a good. Dwelling House, Barn, and other necessary out-houses, with a neverfailing well of water and pump therein, near the house, and two Apple Orchards.
- The terms will be one half in hand, and the residue in two yearly payments without interest, the purchaser giving bonds with approved security. An indisputable title will be given. - Sale will commence at 9 o'clock. in the forenoon.
