1910 Margaret R Parsons (age 44, born in Indiana), married, married for 14 years, wife, lived in Nappanee, Union, Elkhart County, Indiana (father born in South America and mother born in Virginia) with Geo R Parsons (age 61), contractor and carpenter, Frank R Parsons (age 13), and Sarah Good (age 57). 1929 A map of Nappanee shows "Isaiah Good's 1st Addition" to the east of the original town. "Good's 2nd addition" was south of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. Margaret Parson and George Parson owned lots in Crowl's addition and Good's 2nd addition. Isaiah Good was Margaret's brother. [22]

1930 Margaret M Parsons (age 64, born in Indiana), first married at age 30, wife, lived in Nappanee, Elkhart County, Indiana (father born in Pennsylvania and mother born in Virginia) with George R Parsons (age 81), George R Parsons (age 19), and sister-in-law Sarah Good (age 77). [23] [24]

1934 George Robert Parsons, son of George Russell Parsons and Margaret Good, married Lydia Mae Nissley on April 29, in Elkhart County, Indiana. George was born on October 19, 1910. [25]

1939 Margaret M. Parsons, daughter of Beneville Good and Margaret Reed, died on April 1? (disease started April 14, and certificate was signed April 17), 1939 in Nappanee, Union, Elkhart County, Indiana. She was the wife of George Parsons. [26]

1939 Margaret M Parsons died on April 16 and was buried at South Union Cemetery, Nappanee, Elkhart County, Indiana. Margaret M Parsons was born on November 25, 1865. [27] [28]

1939 An obituary for Margaret Parsons reported [29]:

Mrs. Margaret M. Parsons. Nappanee, Ind,: Mrs. Margaret M. Parsons, 73, died Sunday at her home, 701 South Jackson street, of heart disease. She was born Nov. 25, 1865, eight miles northeast of Nappanee, the daughter of Beneville and Margaret Reed Good. She married George Parsons in 1895 at Goshen and came to Nappanee 39 years ago from Newmarket, Iowa. She is survived by her husband, two sons, George R. Parsons, Jr., of Nappanee, and Frank R. Parsons, of Detroit, Mich., and two grandchildren. The body will lie at the home until the hour of funeral, Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Mennonite Brethren in Christ church. Burial will be at South Union, with the Rev. L.L. Rassi officiating. Because of the serious illness of Mr. Parsons the service at the house at 1:30 is only for the immediate family. Mrs. Parsons was a member of the Mennonite Brethren in Christ church.

1944 George R Parsons, widowed, spouse of Margaret Parsons, died on May 3, at age 95, in Nappanee, Elkhart County, Indiana. He was born on September 15, 1848, in Fulton NY, son of John L Parsons and Mary Parsons. [32]

1944 An obituary for George Parsons reported [35]:

Parsons, Last Civil War Vet in County, Dies. Elkhart county's last surviving Civil war veteran, George R. Parsons, 95, died at 5:45 a.,. today at his home, 701 south Jackson, in Nappanee, following a 2 month illness. Mr. Parsons, a resident of Nappanee for 44 years, enlisted in the Union army at the age of 15, and served with the 184th (grave marker indicates Company A) New York Volunteer Infantry in Virginia and Maryland under Gen. P. H. Sheridan. He was discharged in Baltimore, Maryland., at the close of the war. Mr. Parsons' great-grandfather served in the Revolutionary war, his grandfather in the War of 1812, and a son served in France during World War 1. At Gettysburg Reunion. Mr. Parson' health was good despite his advanced years until his final illness began. In June of 1938 he and a son, George, Jr., attended a Blue and Gray reunion at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, in observance of the 75th anniversary of the historic battle there. A year later he celebrated his 90th birthday by assisting in the building of a barn on his place. He was born Sept. 15, 1848, in Fulton N.Y., the son of John L. and Mary Fuller Parsons. He went to New market, Iowa, in 1867, and came to Nappanee from there in 1900. His wife, Margaret, whom he married in 1895, died in April 1939. Surviving are 3 sons, Charles of Eureka, Ill., George R., Jr., who, with his wife, made his home with his father, and Frank R., also of Nappanee; a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Pile of Cameron, Mo.; a brother, J. M. Parsons of New Market, and 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. ...Burial will be in South Union cemetery. Mr Parsons was a carpenter by trade.

1946 Charles Augustus Parsons, son of George R. Parsons and Flavilla Miller, died on March 25, in Olie Twp, Woodford County, Illinois. [36]
