1870 Margaret Good (age 50) lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana with children Sarah (age 18), Elisha (age 16), Sophronia (age 14), Jacob (age 12), Mary (age 8), and Margaret (age 4). [3] [4]

1880 Margaret Good (age 60) lived in Union Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana. Daughters Sarah, Mary, and Margaret lived with her. [5] [6]

1893 Mary A Good and Jacob K Beehler were married on October 5, at Elkhart County, Indiana. [7] [8]

1898 The estate of Margaret Good was settled on May 6, in Elkhart County, Indiana with payment of $113.05 to each of 10 surviving children: Sarah Good, Margaret M. Parsons, Jacob B. Good, Elisha W. Good, Israel Good, Isaiah R. Good, Elizabeth Hoover, Frances Moyer, Mary A. Behler, and Lydia A. Lehman. [Elkhart courthouse, Goshen, Indiana]

1900 Mary A Beehler (born in Indiana, in Oct 1860, married for 7 years), wife, lived in Madison Twp, St Joseph County, Indiana, in a household with Jacob K Beehler (born April 1863, in Germany), Ruth Beehler (age 8), Candace Beehler (age 5), Phoebe Beehler (age 3), Edna Beehler (age 2), nephew Henry Maurer (age 27), and Roda Ehman (age 17). Mary A Beehler's father was born in Pennsylvania and her mother was born in Virginia. Mary A Beehler had had 3 children, 3 still living. [9] [10]

1907 Sarah Beehler, daughter of Jacob K Beehler and Mary Ann Good, was born on January 16 in Elkhart County, Indiana. Sarah Beehler, age 29, and Russell Wilbert Hoover were married on August 29, 1936, in Goshen, Indiana. [11]

1910 Mary A Beehler (age 49, born in Indiana, married for 17 years), wife, lived in Locke Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Jacob K Beehler (age 47), Ruth Beehler (age 18), Candance Beehler (age 15), Phoebe Beehler (age 14), Edna Beehler (age 11), and Sarah Beehler (age 3). Mary A Beehler's father was born in Ohio and her mother was born in Virginia. Mary A Beehler could read and write. Mary A Beehler had had 3 children, 3 still living. [12] [13]

1915 Mary A Beehler died and was buried at South Union Cemetery, Nappanee, Elkhart County, Indiana. [14] [15]:

Mary A Good was born in Union township, Elkhart county, Ind, July 13, 1861 and died at her home in Locke township, August 30, 1915, aged 54 years, 1 month and 17 days. She was united in marriage to Jacob K Beehler on Oct 5, 1893. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband, five daughters, Ruth, Candace, Phoebe, Edna and Sarah; three brothers, Israel of South Carolina, Elisha of Teegarden and Jacob of Washington; and five sisters, Mrs Peter Lehman of Wakarusa, Mrs Martin Hoover of Goshen, Mrs John Mover, Mrs Geo Parsons and Miss Sarah Good of Nappanee. She was converted thirty years ago and united with the Mennonite church. She was one of the charter members when the Mennonites organized at Nappanee 26 years ago, and as long as she was able was a regular attendant at the church services. She has been a constant sufferer from cancer since March, which finally caused her death. Those who visited her during her sickness will never forget her testimony to the goodness of God. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The funeral services were held from the Mennonite church at Wakarusa, Sept 1, being conducted by A. B. Yoder, assisted by Rev S B Stookey. Burial at South Union cemetery.

1918 Jacob K. Beehler and Kate A. Longsdorf were married on October 30 in Elkhart County, Indiana. Jacob K. Beehler, son of Philip Beehler and Anna Letzenberger, was born on 03 Apr 1863 in Germany. [16]

1920 Jacob R Beehler (age 56) lived with wife Kate (age 58) in Locke Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana with daughter Ruth (age 28) and Sara (age 12). [17]

1929 Jacob K Beehler and Mary A Beehler owned 80 acres in section 10, Locke Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana. [18]

1930 Jacob Beehler (age 67, first married at age 25) lived with wife Katie A. (age 69, first married at age 18) in Locke Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana. [19]

1936 Kathryn “Kate” Moyer Beehler was buried at Grace Lawn Cemetery, Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana. Kathryn “Kate” Moyer Beehler was born in 1861. [20] [21]

Mrs Kate Beehler, 75, wife of Jacob K Beehler of Wakarusa, died Saturday following a short illness from pneumonia.

She was born Feb 1, 1861, in Baugo township, near Jamestown, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Will Moyer.

She was married in 1880 to James Longsdorf, who died about 25 years ago.

Charles Longsdorf of Cleveland and three grandchildren survive with her second husband, Mr Beehler, to whom she was married on Oct 30, 1918. She also leaves a sister, Mrs Ray Benner of Elkhart, and a brother, Will Moyer, of near Jamestown.

Three children, Ira, Hattie and Mrs Ida Messenger, preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Mennonite Brethren in Christ church since she was about 12 years of age. Funeral services were held Tuesday, with a service at 1 pm at the Beehler home, and a service at 1:30 in the Wakarusa M B C church where she attended. The Rev H M Metzger, present pastor officiated. Burial in the Grace Lawn cemetery in Elkhart.

Mrs. Lechlitner dies at age 40
Wakarusa, Ind., July 10.
Mrs. Roland Lechlitner, aged 40, of near Wakarusa, died this afternoon at the Elkhart hospital following a major operation. Surviving her are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Mary Mull, and two sons, Ray and Dale, all at home. Her father, Jacob Beehler, and four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Richardson, of Dunlap, Ind.. Mrs. Candite Leatherman, Mrs. Edna Weaver and Mrs. Sarah Hoover, all of Wakarusa, also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Monday. at the home, and at 2:30 p. m. at the Wakarusa M. E. church. Burial will be in the Olive cemetery.

1937 Phoebe Lechlitner, married, spouse of Rolland Lechlitner, died on July 10, at age 41, in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana. She was born on March 21, 1896, in Elkhart County, Indiana, daughter of Jacob K Beehler and Mary Good. [24]

1940 Jacob K Beehler (age 76, born in Germany, married) lived in Wakarusa, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Mary E Beehler (age 71). Jacob K Beehler's parents were both born in Germany. Jacob K Beehler's residence was not a farm. The highest grade of school he had completed was Elementary school, 8th grade. [25]

1943 Jacob K Beehler, married, spouse of Mary Beehler, died on August 7, at age 80, in Wakarusa, Elkhart County, Indiana. He was born on April 3, 1863, in Germany, son of Philipp Beehler and Anna Beehler. [26]

1943 Jacob K. Beehler died on August 7 and was buried at South Union Cemetery, Nappanee, Elkhart County, Indiana. [27] [28] [29]:

Jacob K Beehler, 83, who underwent a major operation two weeks ago, at the Epworth hospital, South Bend, passed way at his home on South Elkhart street, Saturday evening. Mr Beehler retired from farming four years ago, and moved from his farm, two miles west and two miles south of town, where he lived for more than forty years, to the present home in Wakarusa. He was born in Senzwiller, Germany, April 3, 1863, the eighth child in a family of twelve children of Phillip and Anna Elizabeth Beehler. He came to the United States when seventeen years of age and located in this community where he has lived since. Mr Beehler was married four times — on December 18, 1888, to Anna Weil, who died in 1891; in 1893 to Mary Ann Good, who died in 1915 in 1918 to Mrs Kate Longsdorf, who died in 1936, and on Sept 17, 1938, to Mrs Mary Fascom, who survives. Other survivors are Mrs Ruth Richardson of this place, daughter by his first marriage; Mrs Candace Letherman, Mrs Edna Weaver and Mrs Sarah Hoover, all of near here, daughters by the second marriage; 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 3 step-children, and a brother, August Beehler of Bremen, who is last survivor of the family. A brief funeral service was conducted at the home at 2 pm Tuesday, followed by a service at 2:30 at the Mennonite Brethren in Christ church, which he joined in 1901, by the Revs A B Yoder, Kenneth Geiger and Paul Steiner. Burial in South Union cemetery.

1943 An obituary for Jacob Beehler was also published in the Elkhart Truth on August 9. (not seen).

1965 Ruth Anna T Richardson, widowed, died on March 28, at age 73, in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana. She was born on October 3, 1891, in St Joseph County, Ind, daughter of Jacob K Beehler and Anna Tiel [perhaps the informant confused Anna Good with Jacob's third wife, named Tiel]. [30]

1975 Sarah B Hoover, married, spouse of Russell Hoover, died on December 23, at age 68, in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana. She was born on January 16, 1907, in Indiana, daughter of Jacob Beehler and Mary Good. [31]

1976 Candace C Letherman, married, spouse of Roscoe Letherman, died on February 6, at age 81, in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana. She was born on October 7, 1894, in Ind, daughter of Jacob K Beehler and Mary Good. [32]

1982 Edna May Weaver, widowed, died on December 23, at age 84, in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana. She was born on March 7, 1898, in Indiana, daughter of Jacob K. Beehler and Anna Good. [33]
