c 1647 Isaac Wolf was born about this time, based on his death at age 76 in 1722.

1653 Elßbetha, daughter of Christian Ludwig and Maria Schäfer, was baptized on July 3 at Steinsfurt with sponsor Elßbetha, Martin Wägners von Sintzen haußfraus. [1]

1667 Isaac Wolf and Elisabetha Wekzelin were sponsors at the birth of Isaac Weber, son of Thomas Weber and Anna Jenglarin(?) on 8 November at Steinsfurt. [2]

1673 Isaac Wolff and Elisabetha Ludwig, daughter of Christian Ludwig, were married on January 7 at Steinsfurt, Germany. [3] [4]

1674 Hans Bernhardt, son of Isaac Wolf and Elisabetha Ludwig was baptized on March 2 with sponsor Hanß Bernhardt Stetzenbach at Steinsfurt, Germany. [5] [6] [7]

1674 The Battle of Sinsheim took place on June 16 during the 1672-1678 Franco-Dutch War. Steinsfurt and Sinsheim were about 3 kilometers apart. Steinsfurt is now part of the city of Sinsheim. [8]

In the 1674 battle of Sinsheim Isaac Wolff acted as interpreter, as he spoke French (Source: accounting book of Sinsheim 1674, R 190 Stadtarchiv Sinsheim). The records specifically noted that he knew French and was paid for his services as interpreter. Every so often, he accompanied deliveries of hay, straw etc into the French headquarters at Philippsburg. He also helped in 1689, when the French burnt Sinsheim down, acting for the town of Sinsheim. 1676 Hans Geörg, son of Isaac Wolf and Elisabetha Ludwig, was baptized on April 14(?) at Steinsfurt, Germany with sponsor Hans Geörg Hilspach. Hans died on June 3. [13] [14] [15]

1678 Elisabetha, daughter of Isaac Wolf and Elisabetha Ludwig, was baptized on March 13 at Steinsfurt, Germany with sponsor Elisabetha Epple. Elisabetha Wolf died on August 15, 1681. [16] [17]

1680 Michel, son of Isaac Wolf and Elisabetha, was baptized on October 8 at Steinsfurt, Germany with sponsor Michel Bramer bürger zu Sünßh (Sinsheim?). Michel Wolf died on May 6, 1681. [18] [19]

1683 Hans Michel child of Isaac Wolf and Elisabetha, was baptized on January 9 with sponsor Hans Michel S(?) at Steinsfurt, Germany. [20] [21]

1686 Abraham, son of Isaac Wolf and Elisabetha, was baptized on June 30 at Steinsfurt, Germany with sponsor Mons' Abraham Bonenfant burger zu Manheim (?) Andreas Ludwig(?), perhaps Elisabeth's brother. [22] [23]

1687 Elisabetha, wife of Isaac Wolf, was a sponsor at the baptism of Elisabetha, daughter of Michel and Margaretha gansel(?) on February 2 at Steinsfurt. [24]

1689 Elisabetha, wife of Isaac Wolf, was a sponsor at the baptism of Catharina Barbara, daughter of Michel and Margaretha g(?)ansel on February 27 at Steinsfurt. [25]

1692 Isaac Wolf, gerichts, was a sponsor at the baptism of Isaac, son of Rudolph Mühler and Margretha, on January 20 at Steinsfurt. [26]

1722 Isaac Wolf was buried at Steinsfurt at age 76. [27] [28] "3 Feb ist gestorben Isaac Wolf, gewesener bürgerl Inwohner u des Gerichts allhier und d .. darauf zur Erd bestadet word seines Alters 76 Jahr."

Research Notes:

1715 Hans Jacob, son of Isaac Wolf and his wife Catharina, was baptized on November 9 at Steinsfurt with sponsor Hans Jacob Shumann. [32] Was this a different man named Isaac Wolf, or did Isaac remarry and have another child late in his life?

1722 A Findagrave memorial has been created for Isaac Wolfe. [33]

Researchers report a plausible candidate for the sponsor at Abraham's 1686 baptism. Abraham Bonenfant (28 Aug 1658 - 26 Aug 1717) lived in Mannheim, Germany.
