Sarah A. Metzler was born on September 2, 1877, in Nappanee, Indiana. They lived at East 225 Eleventh Ave, North. [36] [37]. Sarah Good Metzler died of a stroke. [38]

1921-1930 John Metzler found it difficult to take care of Emery without Sarah's help and had Emery taken back for adoption. [43]

1923 John A. Metzler and Margaret E. Thrasher were married on January 31, in Pinellas County, Florida. [44]

1930 John A Metzler (age 54), a builder and contractor, lived on 42 Street South in St Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida with second wife M. Elizabeth (age 54) and children John A (age 6), Dorothy (age 4), and Robert (age 2). [45] [46]
