1637 Jung Hans Hiestand and Verena Applin and three children lived in Richterswil with Jacob Scharer and Barbel Hiestand (likely a sister of Jung Hans). [3]

1646 parents Heini (Heinrich) and wife lived with Jung Hans and his wife and six children. [4]

1650 Jung Hans Hiestand and his wife Verena Applin and nine children lived in Hasslen-Hof. [5]

1657-1663 Jung Hans Heistand was listed as electoral (voters or taxed?) in the Palatinate. [6]

1657-1669 Conrad Heistand was listed as electoral (voters or taxed?) in the Palatinate. [7]

1657 Elsbeth Heistand was listed as electoral (voters or taxed?) in the Palatinate. [8]

1663 Hans Jacob Heistand was listed as electoral (voters or taxed?) in the Palatinate. [9]

1663-1669 Kleine Anna Heistand was listed as electoral (voters or taxed?) in the Palatinate. [10]

1669 Conrad, Jakob, and Klyane Heistand left the Ybschen farm in the German province of Pfalz and moved to the Black Forest area. [11]

1685 The Ibersheim (8 miles north of Worms) Mennonite congregation listed Konrad (5 children and 2 step-children) and Heinrich (10 children) Heistand. [12]

During the 9 Year War, the French attacked some Mennonite communities in the Palatinate and two groups of Mennonites left the Palatinate for Friederickstadt Germany.

1693 Hans Jacob Heistand, a minister, and his wife and child went to Friederickstadt. Hans Heindrich and Mariq Hestand also went, along with families named Gochenouer, Bropacher, Strickler, Weber, and Mellinger. [13]

1694 Hans Hendrick Heystand and Barbara Millinger left Amsterdam for Friederickstadt, according to a letter written by Deacon David Rutgers.

1693-98 Hans Jacob Hestandt and Hendrick Hiestandt were named in marriage records in Friederickstadt.

1697 The war ended and several of the Heistand families returned to Ibersheim. [14]

1716-1732 Hans Jacob Heistand was involved in Mennonite church activities and supporting emmigration to Pennsylvania. [15]
