1719 Catherine Rohrer was born in Hamm, Germany. [1]

1749 Isac Schnebeli immigrated to Philadelphia on the ship Saint Andrew, James Abercrombie, Master, on September 9. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8]

1751 Isaac Schnelbi was assessed in Bethel Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [9]

1751 Isaac Snavely received a warrant for 187 acres of land in Lebanon Twp, Lancaster County (originally to Henry Kelliger). [10] [11] [12] [13]

1754 Isaac Schnebeli was granted 25 acres of land in Bethel Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, adjacent to land of Henry Hunberger and Conrad Laub, on March 28. [14] [15] [16] [17] [18]

1757 Isaac Schnebeli refused to defend against the Indians because he was Mennonite. Some of his Irish neighbors tried to burn down his house on the 29th of April 1757, and the family put out the fire. The following night they returned and succeeded in burning his barn down along with 18 head of livestock. [19]

1772 Isaac Snevaly was taxed for 180 acres, 4 horses, and 4 cattle in Bethel Twp, Lancaster [now Lebanon] County, Pennsylvania. [20]

1773 Isaac Snevely was taxed in 1773 for 170 acres, 2 horses, and 4 cattle in Bethel Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [21] [22]

1785 Isaac Shnebely was taxed in 1785 in Bethel Twp, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. [23]

1786 Isaac Shnebely was taxed in 1786 in Bethel Twp, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. [24]

1786 Isaac Shnebely was listed on the septennial census in 1786 in Bethel Twp, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. [25]

1788 Isaac Shnebely was taxed in 1788 in Bethel Twp, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. [26]

1788 Isaac Shnebely Senior was taxed in 1788 in Bethel Twp, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. [27]

1789 Isaac Shnebely was taxed in 1789 in Bethel Twp, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. [28]

1795 Catherine Rohrer Schnebeli died in October.

1798 Isaac Snevely was listed on the direct tax in Bethel Twp, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Henry Light was listed adjacent. [29] [30] [31]

1799 Isaac Schnebeli died on April 26.

Research Notes:

In Catherine's copy of the 1748 Martyr's Mirror, it was written that she and her husband "were raised in Germany, near each other along the Rhine River in Hamen". [32]

Bethel township was erected from a portion of old Lebanon Township in 1739. Bethel Township was originally part of Lancaster County until Dauphin County was formed in 1785, and then Lebanon County on its forming in 1813.

1853 Catharine Snavely and Samuel Burkholder were married on December 15 in Myerstown, Lebanon County, Pennsyvania. Catharine was a daughter of Isaac and Catharine Snavely. [33]
