Lowell T. Rivir
Services for Lowell T. Rivir, 75, Richmond, formerly of Indianapolis, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Doan and Mills Funeral Home at Richmond, where friends may call from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today. He died Sunday in St. Vincent Hospital at Indianapolis. He had been a teacher at Dennis Junior High School at Richmond 22 years, retiring in 1972. Born at LaFontaine, he had lived at Richmond 22 years. A 1928 graduate of Indiana Central University, he received his master's degree from Indiana University in 1936. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church, National Education Association, Indiana State Teachers Association, Richmond Association of Classroom Teachers, National, Indiana and Richmond retired teachers associations and American Association of Retired Persons. Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen Rivir, a daughter, Janice Wilson, and a son, Dr. Richard B. Rivir.
