1870 Eli Rivir (age 24), farmer, and Julia A Rivir (age 26) lived in Noble, Noble County, Indiana with daughter Nellie I (age 3). Their real estate was valued at $3,000 and other estate at $800. Nellie's grand-parents, John and Nancy Rivir, lived two houses away, with Eli's sister Nancy Rivir (age 18, born Indiana), niece Malissa (age 9, born Indiana, "lives with Grandpa"), and Eli's widowed brother Christian (age 36), carpenter. 1870 Drury Easterday, age 3, born in Indiana, lived in Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana, in a household with George Easterday (age 43), Nancy E Easterday (age 41), Othel D Easterday (age 14), William Easterday (age 12), Estella Easterday (age 9), Jeremiah Easterday (age 7), and Adar M Easterday (age 5). [3]

1880 Drury Easterday (age 13) lived with parents George Easterday (age 53) and Nancy E Easterday (age 51) at Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana. [4] [5]

1880 Eli and Julia Rivir lived in Noble, Noble County, Indiana with children Nella I (age 12), Justice W (age 7), and Nora M (age 2). [6] [7]

1891 Drury S Easterday, of Albion, Indiana, and Nellie J River, of Merriam, Indiana, were married on November 11, 1891, in Noble County, Indiana. C M Eberly was the officiator. Drury S Easterday, child of Geo W Easterday and Nancy E Smith, was born in Indiana. Nellie J River, child of Eli River and Julia Hosler, was born in Indiana. [8] [9] [10] [11]

1897 Their infant son was buried at the Christian Chapel cemetery in Merriam, Noble County, Indiana on June 26. [12]

1900 Drury Easterday (age 33) and Nellie Easterday (age 33) lived in Noble Twp, Noble County, Indiana with son Floyd. Drury was a farmer and they own a mortgaged home. [13] [14] [15]

1901 "D. S. Easterday, of Noble township, moved Thursday to Sweetsers, Grant county, where he will do teaming. He leaves the farm because of the ill health of his wife who has been unable to do the work, and with the hope that the lighter duties incumbent upon her when living in town will enable her to recover her health. Their new home will be six miles from the home of her father, Eli River. We are sorry to lose them from our midst but they have the good wishes of all." [16] [17]

1910 Drury Easterday (age 43) and Nellie I Easterday (age 42) lived in Jefferson Twp, Noble County, Indiana with children Floyd G (age 17) and Hazel V (age 7). Nellie had had 3 children, 2 surviving. Drury was a farmer hand working for his own account (not as an employee) in general farming in a rental home (not a farm). [18] [19] [20]

1911 George W Easterday, the father of Drury Easterday, died on 3-28-1911. His will, dated on 4-3-1911, named children: Otho D, William D, Edna E, Jeremiah M, Adar M, Drury S Easterday.

1912 Their son, Floyd Easterday, graduated from Albion high school.

1920 Drury Easterday (age 52), a farmer, and Nellie Easterday (age 52) lived in Northwest, Williams County, Ohio with daughter Hazel (age 17) who attended school. [21] [22] [23] Son Floyd (age 26) lived in a rented house in Seligman Twp, Yavapai County, Arizona with 5 lodgers. Floyd was a school teacher.

1930 Nellie Easterday, mother, age 62, born in Indiana, married, first married at age 24, lived in Seligman Twp, Yavapai County, Arizona, in a rental household with Floyd G Easterday (age 37). Nelle I Easterday's father was born in Pennsylvania and her mother was born in Ohio. [24]

1938 Drury S Easterday, married, son of Geo W Easterday and Ellen Smtih, spouse of Nellie Rivir Easterday, died at age 70, on January 9, 1938 in Albion Twp, Noble County, Indiana. Drury S Easterday was born on March 9, 1867 in Noble Co-Ind. [25]

1938 An obituary stated: "Easterday Drury died at the home of his brother, William, aged 70 years. Funeral was held at Bonham Funeral Home January 12, 1938. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery. 1-10-1938." [26]

1938 Drury Schmucker Easterday (1867-1938) was buried at the Christian Chapel cemetery in Merriam, Noble County, Indiana. An obituary reported [27] [28]:

Albion - Jan 10. Drury Easterday, 71, died here Sunday night after an illness of several months. Surviving are a daughter, Hazel V. Easterday of Lawndale, Ohio and two sons, Floyd O. Easterday of Tschligman, Arizona and Anjona Easterday. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday at the Bonham Funeral home here with Rev. H. A. Kunkle officiating. Burial will be in Christian Chapel Cemetery. Journal Gazette, January 11, 1938

1940 Nellie T Easterday (age 72) lived at Yavapai, Arizona with Floyd (age 47). [29]

1960 Nellie Ione Easterday, child of Eli Rivir and Juliann Hosler, died at age 92, on May 3, 1960 in Yavapai County, Arizona. Nellie Ione Easterday was born on June 14, 1867 in Indiana. [30]

1960 Nellie Ione Rivir Easterday died on May 3 and was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, Prescott, Yavapai County, Arizona. Nellie Ione Rivir Easterday was born on June 14, 1867. [31] [32]

1960 Mabel Rivir Good received a telegram on May 4: "Telegram - Nellie died yesterday" [33]. [Photocopy, Announcement for Nellie Rivir Easterday's death, 1960.]

1960 An obituary for Nellie Ione Easterday reported [34]:

Nellie Ione Easterday, age 92, died May 3, 1960 in a Prescott, Ariz. hospital. She was born June 14, 1867 and moved to Arizona in 1925 from Edon, Ohio. She formerly resided in Seligman, Arizona. A widow, she leaves one daughter, Hazel Easterday of Akron, Ohio; one son, Floyd Easterday of Seligman; a sister, Mrs. I. J. Good of Indianapolis; and two brothers, John Rivir of Warren, and Orvin Rivir of Albion. The funeral was May 9, 1960 at Widmer Mortuary in Prescott, Arizona and she is buried at Mountain View Cemetery, Prescott.

A biosketch of Drury Easterday's father reported [35]:

George W Easterday was born in Holmes County, Ohio, March 29, 1827. He was reared on his father's farm and worked for them until twenty-two years old, when he received property valued at $100 and started out for himself. On the 28th of September 1851, he married Nancy E. Smith of Morrow County, Ohio, by whom he had eight children - Mary Anna (deceased), Dora S. P. (deceased), Otho D., William D., Edna E., Jeremiah M., Adar M. and Drury S. Otho D. married Flora Franks and lived in Green Township. In 1852 Mr. Easterday came to Noble County, locating on the farm where the Frankses now live. In 1826 he exchanged his farm there for his present one. He now owns 200 acres in Green Township and 100 in Jefferson and Albion Townships. He is a Republican and himself and wife are Lutherans. Mr. Easterday's sister Elizabeth is the wife of Samuel Decamp and lives in Jefferson Township. Catharine is the wife of Henry Kirkpatrick and lives in the same township. Sylvester married Mahala Frederick and lives in Albion.
