1686 On 18 October, "Description of a survey of 100 acres of land, lying at Cow Neck, upon Long Island, laid out for John Cornwell, senr., by Leonard Beckwith, [with draught,]" [1]

1686 On 13 December, "Patent of confirmation to John Cornwell, for 100 acres of land, on Cow Neck, upon Long Island" [2]

1688 On 25 August, Sr Edmund Andross appointed "as our justice to keep our peace in our county called Queens" John Cornell (and others). [3]

1699/1700 On 13 February, John Cornell of Cow Neck sold land to sons Joshua and Richard Cornell. [4]

Research Notes:

1722/23 On 14 March, Mathew Franklin, of Queens County married Deborah Cornhill, daughter of Richard Cornhill [included here, because Richard was perhaps a son of John Cornell and Mary Russell] of Cow neck in the bounds of Hempstead. [5]
