1772 On 20 December, David Mayer was born, son of Jacob Mayer and Anna Ebersole. [1]

1797 David Mayer married Elizabeth Rohrer, perhaps in 1797. A house at 141 Maple Lane, Manheim Twp, Lancaster County, was built and blessed for David and Elizabeth Mayer. [2]

1798 There were listings on the U.S. Direct Pennsylvania tax for two different men named David Myer in Manheim Twp, Lancaster County.

David Myer, senior, was taxed for a log house, 20x25 feet, 4 windows and 16 lights adjacent to Jacob Myer & Lititz Road, 30 acres. [3] [4] [5] [6]

David Myer was taxed for a brick house (39x35 feet), a stone house (24x20 feet), and a log house (24x20 feet) adjacent to Jacob Myer & the town lots, 167 acres. [7] [8] [9] [10]

1810 David Meyer (age 26-44) lived in Manheim Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [11]

1820 David Myers (age 45+) lived in Manheim Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [12]

1820 David Meyer (age 44+) lived in Manheim Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [13]

1820 David Meyer (age 44+) lived in Manheim Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [14]

1825 On 1 April, David Moyer and administrators of the estate of his father, Jacob Moyer, sold land in Manheim Twp, Lancaster County, to Peter Johns. The deed cites the 1738 patent by John Moyer, the 1759 sale by John and Mary to son Jacob Moyer in deed N-341, and the 1793 XX-122 of sale by Jacob and Ann to sons Jacob, Christian, and John Moyer. [15] On 2 April, Peter Johns and wife sold the land to son Martin Meyer. [16]

1830 David Meyer (age 50-60) lived in Manheim Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [17]

1847 On 25 December, David Mayer died. His will named wife Elizabeth, and children Martin, Benjamin, David and Barbara wife of Christian Rudy. [18] [19]

1853 On 2 October, Elizabeth (Rohrer) Meyer died at age 80 and was buried in the Mayer Family Cemetery. [20]

Research Notes:

1785 David Meyer was taxed in Manheim Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania for one horned cattle valued at 20 acres. Based on the birthdate shown here, this David would be age 15. [21]
