1650 "Anna Russell the daughter of William Russell was born ye 29th day of July" in New Haven, Connecticut. [1]

1653 "John Russell the sonn of William Russell was born the 20th day of November" in New Haven, Connecticut. [2]

1659 "Noadiah sonne to wm Russell" was born on July 22 in New Haven, Connecticut. [3]

1664 "Sarah Russell wife of wm Russell died Decem:4th: 1664" in New Haven, Connecticut. [4]

1664 William Russell wrote his will on December 24. [5]

I Wm Russell of New Haven being weake in body but of a sound memory& understanding doe make this my last will & testamt as followeth: first I bequeath my soule unto the lord Jesus Christ my redeemer, trusting to be saved alone by his meritt & intercession, & my body to be buried in a convenient place at ye discretion of my friends in hope of a joyfull resurrection. my just debts, legacyes & funerall charges being payd I doe dispose of my outward estate & worldly goods as followeth Noadiah Russell two third part of all my whole estate, & one third part to my daughter Hannah Russell, and I doe committ them both my son & daughter to ye care & government of my loving friends Henry & Ellen Glover, & alsoe my estate to them to be taken care of & performed for my children, & soemch of my estate as they judge to be convenient for them to make use of, to be preserved for them in kind, till they shall come to age, or till either of them shall marry, in which as in all other contracts, I doe apoit them to be ye dispose of my firends Henry & Ellen Glover. And in regard yt my son is but yet young, * that I doe devote moh to god in a way of learneinge; I goe give & bequeath to him one bay mare & colt yt I bought of Mr Street, the colt was branded this winter, besides his double portion, to be some addition to his estate towards his bringing up in learneinge, allowinge to both my children what their grandfather & grandmother left them by will; And I doe alsoe give & bequeath to ye church of Christ at New Haven; whereof by grace I am a member one horse colt yt was last branded, the which colt came of the gray mare: And I doe by this my last will & testament appoint my sonn Noadia Russell to be administrator when he shall come to full age; and till then & that time, doe nominate my friend Henry Glover to take upon him ye execution of Administratorship, and then to give an acco:t thereof to that my sonn, this my last will witnes my hand this 24 of 10 month 1664

I further order in regard yt my daughter hath carried rebelliously to me & my wife: I doe not allow her to receive any benefit by my estate, till shee shall duely humble herselfe therefore, and carry herselfe to ye satisfaction of them I doe appoint over her till shee marry: which if shee refuse to doe, it shall be in the power of the magistratres to dispose of her portion to my sonn: I doe alsoe give & bequeath to this towne foure pounds 14s

Alcorn's abstract states [6]

Bequeaths to son Noahiah and to daughter Hannah. Henry and Ellen Glover to be guardians of children and administrators of estate till children come of age. Witnesses: John Gibbs and Sarah Holt. Codicil, witnessed by Sarah Holt and Ellen Glover, states that daughter "hath carried herself rebelliously to me and my wife." Unless she humbles herself and submit to her guardians, in the opinion of the magistrates, her portion shall go to her brother.

1664/65 "William Russell died January 2e 1664" in New Haven, Connecticut. [7]
