1751 Jacob Bowman, son of Christian and Elizabeth Bowman, was born on February 20. [1] [2] [3]

1777-78 Christian, Wendle, and Jacob Bauman were listed for exercise fines (not appearing for military exercises) in Captain Rheim's company, Berks County. [4]

1785 Jacob Bowman [Bauman] was listed as 5 class on a class roll of Capt. Weidner's Company of April and May 1765 of the First Battalion of Berks County, commanded by Col. Lutz. [5]

Jacob Bowman married Maria Schantz [6] or Maria Fohantzer [7]

1790 Jacob Bowman (of Chrn) lived in Cumru Twp, Berks County, Pennsylvania. [8]

1802 Jacob Bowman entered the [Mennonite] ministry. [9]

1816 Jacob Bowman left Lancaster for Ontario. [10]

1820 Jacob Bowman died on July 4, in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. [11] [12] [13]

Research Notes:

Jacob's wife has been reported by some researchers to be Mary Fohanzer (10 Jan 1752-24 Mar 1814). [14] We seek evidence to clarify the identity of the wife of Jacob Bowman.
