1867 James Hart and Mary Ann Patterson were married on March 1 in the parish church in Newmills, Tullanisken, Tyrone, Ireland. James was of full age and a bachelor, his profession was Lapper and his residence was Derry. His father was John Hart whose profession was school master. Mary Ann was a minor and a spinster, her residence was Mousetown, District of Brackaville. Her father was James Patterson whose profession was spade maker. The witnesses were Alexander Keith and William Patterson. [1]

1868 Elizabeth Jane Hart, daughter of James Hart, clerk, and Mary Ann Hart formerly Patterson, was born on January 26 in Derry, Coalisland District in the Union of Dungannon, County Tyrone, Ireland. The birth was reported by Catherine Patterson, who was present at the birth. [2]

1870 An unnamed daughter of James Hart, laborer, and Mary Ann Hart formerly Patterson, was born on August 18 in Derry, Coalisland District in the Union of Dungannon, County Tyrone, Ireland. The birth was reported by Catherine Patterson, who was present at the birth. [3]

1882 Olivia Catherine Hart, daughter of James Hart, laborer, and Mary Ann Hart formerly Patterson, was born on February 10 in Derry, Coalisland District in the Union of Dungannon, County Tyrone, Ireland. The birth was reported by Catherine Patterson, who was present at the birth. [4]

1893 James Hart died on November 11 in Derry, in the district of Coalisland, in the Union of Dungannon, in the county of Tyrone. James was married, age 68 years, and his occupation was farmer. His cause of death was paralysis, 3 or 4 days. The informant was James' brother-in-law Archibald Patterson of Derry who was present at the death. [5]

1905 Mrs. Hart (age 56), Elizabeth Hart (age 36), Olivia C. Marsh (age 23), Samuel J. Marsh (age 23), all born in Ireland, arrived on September 29 in Montreal, Quebec, on the ship Bavarian that had departed from Liverpool, England, on September 21. They were from Tyrone and their destination was Hamilton. Elizabeth was a dressmaker and Samuel was a mechanic. [6]

1911 Mary Ann Hart (age 62) lived in Hamilton, Wentworth County, Ontario with her son-in-law and daughter, Samuel James Marsh (age 28) and Catherine Marsh (age 28) and their children Christina (age 3) and Samuel John (age 1), and Samuel James' sister Annie Marsh (age 22). Mary Ann, Samuel James, and Catherine immigrated in 1905 and Annie in 1907. The adults were born in Ireland and the children in Ontario. Samuel James was a machinist. [7]
