Notes for Hans Peter Wampler and Anna Lung

1701 Hans Peter Wampfler was born at Sparsbach, Alsace, Germany. [1]

1741 Hans Peter Wambler (age 40), Hans Peter Wambler Jun'r (age 18), and Hans Mich'l Wambler (age 16) arrived in Philadelphia on the Ship Lydia on September 29, 1741 and took the Oath. [2] [3]

1743 John Peter Wampler [junior] and Anna Barbara Breneiss were married on September 26 at Swatara. [4] [5]

174? Hans Michael Wampler and Anna Elizabeth Brenneisen were married, perhaps. Michael Wampler's wife was named Anna Elisabetha and descendants of Michael Wampler and wife Anna Elisabetha have DNA matches with Robert. Two other Wampler siblings married Brenneisen siblings. It is plausible that Anna Elisabeth, wife of Michael Wampler, was also a daughter of George Michael Brenneisen. [6]

1746 Anna Veronica Wampsler and Jacob Breneisser were married on January 13 at Lebanon. [7]

1746 Anna Magdalena Wampsler and Mattheis Boger were married on January 7 at Lebanon. [8]

1749 Peter Wambler received a warrant for 200 acres of land in Bethlehem, Bethel, Lebanon Co. [9] Several surveys were made. One land survey, dated 1810, described the tract as in Swatara Twp, Lebanon County. [10] [11] Another, dated 1750, reported Bethel Twp. [12] [13] [14] Patents for the tracts were issued to Henry Light in 1826 and 1829.

1749 The estate of Peter Wampler [senior?] was administered in Lancaster County. [15]

1750 Michael Wambler was taxed in Lebanon Twp, Lancaster County. Ulrich Wampler was taxed in 1755. [16]

1751 Michael Wamler was taxed in Lebanon Twp, Lancaster County. [17] [18]

1756 Michael Wampler was taxed for 50 acres, 4 acres of grain, 2 horses, and 2 cows in Lebanon Twp, Lancaster County. Jacob BrenIron [Brenizer, perhaps the husband of Anna Veronica Wampsler] was listed adjacent. [19] [20] [21] Ulrich Wampler was taxed as a freeman in Lebanon Twp, Lancaster County. [22]

1757 Mich'l Wampler and Jacob Brenjsan were taxed in Lebanon Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [23] Geo. Wampler was taxed as a free man. [24]

1757 "On the 1st of October of the same year, the children of Peter Wampler [of the east end of Hanover Twp, Lebanon County] were captured [by Indians]." [25]

1759 Peter Wampler was taxed in Lebanon Twp, Lancaster County. [26]

1780 Geo Wambler was taxed in Lebanon Twp, Lancaster County. [27]

Research Notes:

We are not actively researching this Wampler family, but three children; Michael, Peter, and Anna Veronica; perhaps married three Brenneisen siblings, who are perhaps cousins of Robert, through the Brenizer line.
