Catherine Mary 'Kitty' Quinn Jaeger Aug. 14, 1899-July 22, 2001 Our beloved Mother and Grandmother went home to God Sunday, July 22, 2001. Catherine Mary 'Kitty' Quinn Jaeger was 101 years, 11 months and 8 days old. Born August 14, 1899, at Mayville, Gilliam County, Ore., as Catherine Mary Quinn, daughter of and eldest of three children born to William John Quinn and Catherine Fitzmaurice Quinn. She was raised on a farm at Mayville, Ore.

On November 5, 1924 she married Arthur C. Jaeger. They had a wheat and cattle ranch 3 miles north of Condon. She was a hard worker and drove a wheat truck for harvest even after retiring to Woodburn.

A member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Woodburn, Kitty was a member of the Parish Council in years past. She was Regent of the Catholic Daughters Court Victory and President of the Women's Club of Woodburn. A persistent worker for the people on East Hardcastle, she campaigned first for the paving of the street, then for the traffic light at 99E and Hardcastle; happily, she was successful in both endeavors. She was Chaplain of the Ladies of the Elks until her death. Everyone knew Kitty! Her husband, Arthur Christian Jaeger, preceded her in death on January 2, 1975.

Survivors include her sons, William Gustav of Condon, Ore., and Henry Charles of Woodburn; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by a son, Arthur William in 1926; sister, Annabelle Margaret Quinn Ramon in 1959; and brother, Charles William Quinn in 1983.

Rosary will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 25 at Cornwell Colonial Chapel in Woodburn. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26 at St. Luke's Catholic Church; burial will follow at St. Luke's Cemetery in Woodburn.
