"William John Quinn was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on February 13, 1871 to Charles James Quinn and Catherine Jane Gibbons. The family came to Oregon in 1890 settling in the Mayville country where William had lived over 50 years as a prosperous farmer. He married Catherine Honora Fitzmaurice the daughter of Maurice and Annabelle (Palmer) Fitzmaurice. To this union three children were born Catherine (Arthur) Jaeger, Charles (Martha Jaeger) Quinn, and Annabelle (Genaro) Ramon.
Catherine passed away at the age of 25 on July 26, 1904. In 1905 he married Mary Gaffney. William was 71 years old when passed away at St Vincent's Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Mary his wife passed away two years later at the age of 83."
