1880 Jonas Wiegle (age 35) was a widowed blacksmith living with his children Gertrude (age 11) and Charlie (age 6) and his father in the Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. [1]

1886 On 22 December, Gina Gertrude Weigel (age 19), daughter of Jonas M Weigel and Emma Fulton, married William Charles Lindsey in Union City, Randolph County, Indiana. [2] [3]

1897-98 Directory for Huntington, Indiana listed W C Lindsey, Gertie, Mabel, Raymond, and Edith at Marchaneil, Huntington, Indiana at 55 Grayston Ave. Occupation cook.

1900 Gertrude Lindsey (born in Pennsylvania in Aug 1868, married for 13 years), wife, lived in Marion Twp, Grant County, Indiana, in a household with William Lindsey (age 42), Raymond Lindsey (age 12), Mable Lindsey (age 9), Edith Lindsey (age 3), John Lindsey (age 1/12), and James Lindsey (age 1/12). Gertrude Lindsey's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. Gertrude Lindsey had had 5 children, 5 still living. William was a restaurant cook. William's parents were reported born in Virginia and New Jersey. [4]

1918 WWI draft registration listed son Earl Adolphus Lindsey living in Marion, Grant County, Indiana. Earl was a laborer at Macbeth Gnossos? Glass Co. Mearle was an apprentice at Canton Glass Company. Both lived with mother Gertrude Lindsey at 1912 Selby Ave. Both had brown hair and eyes.

1920 Gertie Lindsey (age 51, born in Pennsylvania, married), wife, lived in Marion Ward 4, Grant County, Indiana, in a household with William C Lindsey (age 61), Aunt Sophia English (age 77), Earl A Lindsey (age 19), and Mearl F Lindsey (age 19). Gertie Lindsey's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. Gertie Lindsey could read and write. [6]

1920 Edith Lindsey (age 22, born in Indiana, single), sister, lived in Chicago Ward 7, Cook (Chicago), Illinois, in a household with Marybelle Paradise (age 29), and Eleone Paradise (age 9). Gertrude Lindsey's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. Earl was an assembler at an electric stove factory. Mearle was a gatherer? in a glass factory. [8]

1937 William Charles Lindsey, married, son of Festus Adolphus Wilson Lindsey and Martha Lindsey, spouse of Gertrude Lindsey, died, at age 79, on December 30, 1937, in Marion Twp, Grant County, Indiana. William Charles Lindsey was born, on May 2, 1858, in Indiana. [9]

1937 On 3 December, William Charles Lindsey died and was buried at Estates of Serenity Cemetery, Marion, Grant County, Indiana. [10]

1940 Gertude Lindsey (age 71, born in Pennsylvania, widowed) lived in Marion Twp, Grant County, Indiana, in a household with Mearle Lindsey (age 39). Gertude Lindsey's residence was not a farm. The highest grade of school she had completed was Elementary school, 8th grade. [11]

1956 On 23 January, Gertrude O Lindsey died and was buried at Estates of Serenity Cemetery, Marion, Grant County, Indiana. [12]
