1846 William Weigle, son of Emanuel and Cath. Weigle, was born on July 2. He was baptized on November 22 at the Upper Bermudian Church. [1] His parents were Emanuel Weigle and Kathryn Thomas. [2]

1850 Emanuel Weigle (age 30, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Butler Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Catherine Weigle (age 30), Hannah Weigle (age 9), Benjamin Weigle (age 8), William Weigle (age 6), Abraham Weigle (age 2), and Isaac Weigle (age 2). [3]

1860 William Weigle (age 13) lived in Menallen Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania, in the household of George Bender. [4] Other family members lived in the same county. Emanuel Wigel (age 46, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Tyrone Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Catharine Wigel (age 44), Hanah Wigel (age 16), Isaac Wigel (age 11), Carline Wigel (age 9), Isabell Wigel (age 7), and Jeremah Wigel (age 2). Abraham Wigel (age 12) lived nearby in the household of Daniel Turner. Franklin Wigel (age 15) lived in the household of John Boquin? as a farm hand. [5]

1865 William Weigle enlisted for the Union Army on March 23. He was 18 years old when he was enlisted. He was a laborer when he was enlisted. He was 5 feet 9 inches tall, and had a dark complexion, grey eyes, and dark hair. He was a substitute for Jesse Weigle [perhaps the son of Christian Weigle and Elizabeth Guise]. He was enlisted and mustered into service on 23 March 1865. [6] He was enlisted for one year, at Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, by Captain Eyster. His service was credited to the Sixteenth Congressional District. He served as a private in company G. He received clothing worth $37.13. He mustered out with his company on 10 July 1865. [7] [8] Abraham Weigle [perhaps William's brother] mustered in and out of the same company on the same days as William.

1870 Emanuel Weigel (age 52, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Huntington Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Catharine Weigel (age 32), Hannah Weigel (age 27), Franklin Weigel (age 24), William Weigel (age 23), Abraham Weigel (age 22), Isaac Weigel (age 22), Caroline Weigel (age 20), Isabel Weigel (age 18), Jeremiah Weigel (age 11), and Clara Weigel (age 9). [9]

1880 William Weigle (age 32) and Agnes (age 26) lived in Tyrone Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania with two servants. [10]

1890 William Wiegle was a veteran of the Civil War. He lived in Tyrone Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania (post office: Heidlersburg). He had rheumatism. [11]

1900 William Weigle (born July 1846) lived with wife Agnes M. (born May 1853) and daughter Mary E (born August 1889). They had been married for 25 years. William was a farmer. Agnes had had one child, who was still alive. [12]

1909 Mary Weigle, age 19, and Neely Kennedy were married on March 23 in Franklintown, Adams County, Pennsylvania. Mary Weigle was a daughter of Wm. Weigle and Agnes Weigle. (FHL film 000020652). [13]

1910 William Wiegle (age 64) lived on Menallen Road in Tyrone Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania with wife Mary A (age 55). William was a farmer. Daughter Mary Kennedy and her husband Neely and daughter Luella (age 7 months) lived with them. Agnes has had one child, who was still alive. [14]

1920 William Wiegle (age 73) lived on the Gettysburg-Harrisburg Road in Tyrone Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania with wife Agnes (age 65). William was not working. Daughter Mary Kennedy and her husband Neely and daughter Luella lived with them. [15]

1923 William Weigle, son of Emanuel Weigle and Kathryn Thomas, died on March 15, 1923, at age 76, in Tyrone Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania. William Weigle was born on July 2, 1846, in Adams County. Mrs. Mary Kennedy (William's daughter) was the informant. (Death certificate: 32376). [16]

1923 Letters of administration were granted, on March 23, to Agnes Weigle et al for the estate of William Weigle. [17]

1923 William Weigle was buried at Heidlersburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania. [18] [19]

1923 William Weigle had a pension record, dated April 2, for service as a Civil War veteran in Company G of the 91st Pennsylvania Infantry with widow Mary Agnes Weigle. [20]

1923 Widow Mary Agnes Weigle, applied successfully for a pension on April 12.

1934 Mary Agnes Weigle, daughter of Elliot Albert and Sarah Ann Haines, spouse of William Weigle, died on December 3, 1934, at age 81, in Tyrone Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania. Mary Agnes Weigle was born on May 12, 1853, in Adams County. (Death certificate: 109467). [21]

1934 Mary Agnes Weigle was buried at Heidlersburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania [22].

1963 Mary Ellen Weigle Kennedy died on March 8 and was buried at Heidlersburg Cemetery, Tyrone Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania. Mary Ellen Weigle Kennedy was born on August 12, 1889. [23]

1908 William Weigle had a pension record, dated May 2, for service as a Civil War veteran with Company G of the 41 Ohio Infantry. [24]
