1912 Aunt Lydian married Wilbur Sharon on August 14. Arthur and Ida Wirick drove a car to the wedding at the home of Isaiah and Anna in Marion, Indiana. Irby and Joseph's children met new baby Margaret.

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Good, 506 Third street south, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Margaret Catherine, to Harlan Gregory, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Gregory, 808 Arlington avenue north. The wedding will be an event of May.

Miss Good came here about 15 years ago with her parents from Marion, Ind. She was graduated from the local high school and the Junior college in the class of 1931. She later attended Duke university of Durham, N.C. and is now a member of the Glenoak school faculty.

Mr. Gregory came to St. Petersburg from Webster Springs, W. Va. He attended the local schools and was graduated from Junior college in 1931. He continued his study at Southern college, from which he received his A.B. degree in 1933. He Is a member of Pi Kappa fraternity of which he served as an officer for two years. He is now a member of the Mirror Lake Junior high school faculty.

Margaret Good Gregory, 97, died June 5, 2009. A Memorial Service is to be held in the gallery of Westminster Oaks, on Monday, June 22, 2009, at 2 p.m. EDT. The family invites those who wish to attend to a visitation to be held at 1 p.m., prior to the service.

She moved to St. Petersburg with her family in 1919, from Marion, Indiana. She married Harlan Gregory, a Pinellas County Pioneer, in 1934. They were married 59 years, until his death in 1993. Her teaching career began in 1931, immediately following graduation from St. Petersburg Junior College, (now St. Petersburg College). She retired in 1970, following an exemplary career that spanned over 30 years. She had received her BS degree in Education from the University of Tampa (cum laude)in l956.

She wrote poems and stories for the weekly Kindergarten Sunday School papers and articles for CHILD GUIDANCE and THE CHRISTIAN. HOME, publications of the Methodist House, Nashville, Tenn. Stories and the articles related to classroom experiences were also published in professional magazines, THE INSTRUCTOR and THE GRADE TEACHER.

She especially enjoyed making needlepoint projects using her experience to design the Crosses for the needlepoint covers on the Communion and Altar Kneelers in the Dorothy Hortin Chapel of Christ United Methodist Church, where she was an active member, serv-ing on the Board of Trustees, on the Methodist Conference Worship Work Area and as Leader of the Miriam Circle of United Methodist Women, who named her Woman of the Year in 1993.

Affiliations, in addition to the honorary Delta Kappa Gamma, included former memberships in St. Petersburg Woman's Club and Museum of Fine Arts, Past President of the Lions Auxiliary of St. Petersburg, member of FliCRA, and Life Membership in St. Petersburg College Alumni, Pinellas County Retired Teachers Association, and National Retired Teachers Association. In 1969, the Pinellas Historical Club issued her a membership in the Half Century Club, reserved for persons who lived in Pinellas County for 50 years.

In 1995, she moved to Tallahassee to live at Westminster Oaks Retirement Community. An accomplished artist and calligrapher she began water color painting in 1999, and received several awards for her still life pieces. Her creativity and talent led her to prepare exquisite greeting cards for friends and family. She routinely made birthday and holiday greeting cards for many of the residents of WestminsterOaks and was affectionately known there as the card lady.

Survivors include a son, Thomas H. (Reed) Gregory, St. Petersburg; daughter, Susan G. (Bob) Coggins, Tallahassee; five grandchildren, Beth G. (John) Brenneis, Melissa C. (John) Carter, Kathy C. (Tom) Syfrett, all from Tallahassee, Martha Cog-gins, Orlando, Thomas E. Gregory, Largo; six great-grandchildren, Charlee and Riley Gregory, Largo, Shelbi Boyer, Kate Carter, Lindsey Syfrett, Jordan and Jessica Brenneis, all from Tallahassee; a sister, Martha G. Haines, Inverness. She was preceded in death by a sister Marie G. Loescher. Survivors also include several nieces and a nephew..
