1887 Nannie Moyer and Amos Sheets were married on January 20 in Elkhart Couonty, Indiana. [1]

1900 Nanny Sheets (born in Indiana in Oct 1866, married), wife, lived in Union Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Amos Sheets (age 44), Curtis Sheets (age 9), Eva Sheets (age 4), and George Sheets (age 2). Nanny Sheets's parents were both born in Ohio. Nanny Sheets had had 3 children, 3 still living. [2]

1910 Nany Sheets (age 42, born in Indiana, married for 23 years), wife, lived in Union Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Amos Sheets (age 54), Curtis Sheets (age 19), Eva Sheets (age 14), and George Sheets (age 12). Nany Sheets's parents were both born in Ohio. Nany Sheets could read and write. [3]

1930 Amos Sheets (age 74, born in Ohio, married, first married at age 23) lived in Union Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Nannie Sheets (age 62), and George R Sheets (age 32). Amos Sheets's parents were both born in Ohio. Amos Sheets's residence was on a farm. The residence did not have a radio. [4]

1930 Amos Sheets died on August 7 and was buried at Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee, Elkhart County, Indiana. Amos Sheets was born on January 25, 1856. [5] An obituary reported:

Elkhart Truth 8 Aug 1930

Amos Sheets, 74, a farmer and thresher who lived four and a half miles northeast of Nappanee in Union township, died at 5:30 last night at his home. He had been engaged as a thresher for 50 summers. Mr. Sheets the son of Solomon and Elizabeth Sheets, had been ill of heart trouble and paralysis for at least a year.

Forty-three years ago he was married to Nannie Moyer, who
survives him. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren, and attended the Union Center church, where he was a deacon.

Surviving him in addition to Mrs. Sheets, are a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Mishler of New Paris; two sons, George at home and Curtis of three miles south of Wakarusa; seven grandchildren; two brothers, George and John O. Sheets of near Nappanee.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Union Center church and burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Frank Kreider of near Elkhart, assisted by the Rev. David Miller, will officiate.

Mr. Sheets, who was born in Van Wert county, Ohio, Jan 25, 1856, was brought to Elkhart county when six years old. His father became one of the most prominent citizens of Union township, serving them as township trustee for eight years.

1949 Mannie Moyer Sheets, widowed, daughter of George Moyer and Mary Moyer, died on September 20, 1949, at age 81, in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana. Mannie Moyer Sheets was born on October 25, 1867, in Elkhart Co, Indiana. [6]

1949 Nannie, wife of Amos Sheets, died and was buried at Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee, Elkhart County, Indiana. Nannie Moyer Sheets was born in 1867. [7]
