Notes for Daniel Henri Dubied and Rose Marguerite Duval

A biography of Daniel Henri Dubied in the Dictionnaire Historique Suisse states that he was the founder of the "maison Dubied-Duval" which started to make absinthe in 1797. He was the son of "Pierre-Abraham, terrinier-poêlier," and "Rose-Marguerite Petitpierre." Daniel Henri married Rose-Marguerite Duval, daughter of Simon Duval, "réfugié huguenot, fabricant de bas." [1]
