1804 Susanna Albert was born on June 24, 1804. [1]

c 1820-1830 Abraham Moyer and Susanna Albert were married [2]. The place and date of the marriage of Abraham Moyer and Susan Albert is not known. Their siblings, John Moyer and Elizabeth Albert, also married and moved to Ohio about the same time that John Moyer did.

1826 Abraham Myers bought 60 acres for $300 and another 66 acres for #300 in Section 21 of Milton Twp, Richland County, Ohio on 19 June from Soloman Braden.

1830 Abraham Mires lived in Milton Twp, Richland County, Ohio in a household with males: 1 (under 5) and 1 (20 thru 29); and females: 1 (under 5) and 1 (20 thru 29). [3]

1834 Abraham Moyer bought 15 acres of land from John and Jane Hall on September 12. The land was in section 21 of Milton Twp, Ashland County. [4]

1837 Abraham and Susannah Moyer sold 15 acres of land to John Saylor on September 2. The land was in section 21 of Milton Twp, Ashland County. [5]

1838 An Abraham Myers was taxed in Richland County, Ohio. Notation might indicate two parcels of 21 acres each. John Myers was also taxed, notation might indicate 27 acres.

1840 Abraham Myers lived in Milton Twp, Richland County, Ohio in a household with males: 2 (under 5), 1 (10 thru 14), and 1 (30 thru 39); and females: 2 (5 thru 9), 1 (15 thru 19), and 1 (30 thru 39). The adjacent listing was the family of John Myers, as in 1830. [6]

1846 Abraham Moyer and wife Susan sold land to Henry Hartman on June 13. The land was in section 28 of Ashland County. [7]

1846 On 5 January, Peter Brubaker and wife Catherine, Abraham Moyer and wife Susan, Henry Hartman and wife Barbara, Mary Burke, Jacob Bechtel and wife Anna, Wm Kirchner and wife Elizabeth, Michael Gongaway and wife Catherine, John Moyer Jr, Christian Moyer, Barbara Moyer, George Moyer, Harriet Moyer, Abraham Moyer minor heirs of Elizabeth Moyer by guardian John Moyer Jr, sold sold 13 acres to Nancy Newcomer in section 27 of Milton Twp, Ashland/Richland County, Ohio. [8]

1846 On 5 January, Peter Brubaker and wife Catherine, Abraham Myers and wife Susan, Hartman and wife Barbara, Benjamin Newcomer and wife Nancy, Jacob Bechtel and wife Anna, Wm Kirchner and wife Elizabeth, Michael Gongaway and wife Catherine, John Moyer Jr, Christina Myers, Barbara Moyer, George Moyer, Harriet Moyer, Abraham Moyer minor heirs of Elizabeth Moyer by guardian John Moyer Jr, sold sold 33 acres to Mary Burke, in section 27 of Milton Twp, Ashland/Richland County, Ohio. [9]

1847 Abraham and Susanna Moyer moved from Ohio to Indiana by wagon and team, bringing an equipment of household goods. He located in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, and as an early settler constructed a log cabin which was the first home of the Moyer family in the Hoosier state. [10]

1848 The estate of George Albert named widow Mary (Polly) who remarried Burke. Children: Peter, Nancy married Benjamin Newcomer, Catharine married Peter Brubaker, Susan married Abraham Myers, Barbara married Henry Hartman on 17 June 1842, and Elizabeth, deceased, married John Myers and names 9 children of Elizabeth and John Myers. Administrators Abraham Myers and Benjamin Newcomer. [11]

1848 Abraham Mayer and wife Susan, of Ashland County, Ohio, sold land in Section 21 of Milton Twp, Richland County, Ohio to Sophia Huhn on September 11. They appeared in person. [12] [13]

1848 Abraham Mayer and wife Susan, of Ashland County, Ohio, sold land in Section 21 of Milton Twp, Richland County, Ohio to Thomas Braden, on September 25. The land adjoined land of Sophia Huhn. The land was originally deeded to Stephen Balzer by John McCrorz. [14] [15]

1848 Abraham Moyer, on behalf of the heirs of George Albert, sold, on June 21, land in Milton Twp, Richland County, Ohio to Thomas Braden. [16]

To all to whom these presents shall come greeting. Whereas on the fourth day of February in the year of our Lord eight hundred and forty five, Abraham Moyer and John Hall as administrators of George Albert filed in the Court of Common Please of Richland County Ohio their certain Petition to complete real contract entered into by the said George Albert and Matthias Dier with Thomas Braden for the Sale of certain real estate as in said petition described by referencing to the Recorder of Richland Common Pleas where said petition Contract and proceedings are recorded will more fully and at large appear. And whereas said petition was filed against Peter Albert, Polly Burks, John Myers, Jacob Bechtel and Anna his wife, William Carick and Elizabeth his wife, Michael Gongaway and Catharine his wife, John Myers, Christian Myers, Barbara Myers, George Myers, Harriet Myers, Abraham Myers, Peter Brubaker and Catharine his wife, Benjamin Newcomer and Nancy his wife, Henry Hartman and Barbary his wife, Defendants & heirs at Law of George Albert deceased Defendants. And whereas at the June Term of the Court of Common Pleas of Richland County Ohio A.D. 1848, said petition came on to be heard upon the petition exhibits and testimony And the Court being satisfied that said Defendants were duly Subpoened and that the said written contract in the petition described was the actual contract of the said George Albert and by him executed in his lifetime, and the Court being satisfied that the said Thomas Braden has paid to the said Abraham Myers the ballance of the purchase money, since the Death of the said George Albert and order at the said Term last aforesaid. That the said Abraham Myers as administrator of said George Albert deceased, make execute and Deliver to the said Thomas Braden a Deed in fee simple for the full equal undivided half of the said premises so sold as aforesaid the same being all the full interest and share which the said George Albert had in said premises at the time of his death, and that said deed be by said administrator executed on behalf of said heirs, and in lieu of all legal and equitable interest of the heirs aforesaid. Now therefore I the said Abraham Myers as administrator of the said George Albert … do grant … to the said Thomas Braden … six acres of land out of the southeast quarter of section sixteen in Milton Township, Richland County, Ohio … this 21st day of June A.D. 1848.

1850 Abram Moyer (age 50, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Susanna Moyer (age 48, born in Pennsylvania), Elizabeth Moyer (age 17), Christian Moyer (age 11), Barbary Moyer (age 8), and Susan Moyer (age 6). Their estate was valued at $800. Brother John Moyer was listed adjacent. [17]

1855 Abraham Moyer sold land in section 16, Milton Twp, Richland County, Ohio as part of the administration of the estate of George A. Albert.

1860 Abram Moyer (age 58) and Susanna (age 56) lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana with children Barbery (age 18), Susan (age 15), and Christian (age 21) and estate valued at $2000+$200. Brother John Moyer was a neighbor. [18]

1867 Abraham Moyer died, on October 22, at age 65y 6m 11d, and was buried at Holy Corners Cemetery, Caledonia, Kent County, Michigan. [19] [20]

1867 An obituary for Abraham Moyer reported [21]:

On the 22nd of October, in Gains Township, Kent County, Michigan, Abraham Moyer, aged 65 years, 6 months and11 days. He was buried on the 24th, in the South West Caladonia graveyard. Funeral discourses were delivered by Henry Wismer and Abm. Detweiler from Phi. 1:21. He was a son of Christian and Anna Moyer, of Manheim Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. His death was caused by a fall from a wagon, in which he injured his neck and shoulders. He lived 11 days after the fall. He was apparently entirely reconciled to God, and died in full hopes of the enjoyment of a blessed immortality.

1899 Mary Leatherman, married, daughter of Abraham Moyer and Sussanna Albert, died on July 7, 1899, at age 69, in Gaines Twp, Kent County, Michigan. Mary Leatherman was born in 1830 in Ohio. [22]

A biosketch of grandson Abraham H. Moyer reports [23]:

His grandfather, Abraham Moyer, was born April 11, 1802, probably in Pennsylvania, and was of early German ancestry. From Pennsylvania he moved to Ohio, and after a few years spent in that state came in 1847 to Indiana, making the entire journey overland by wagons and teams and bringing an equipment of household goods. He located in Harrison Township of Elkhart County and as an early settler constructed a log cabin which was the first home of the Moyer family in the Hoosier State. By hard work and constant diligence he hewed a farm from the wilderness and continued to live in Harrison Township until his death. He married Susanna Albert, who was born June 24, 1804, and died in her ninety-fourth year. She reared eight children named Anna, George W., Mary M., Elizabeth, John M., Christian, Barbry and Susanna.
