Janet E. Chevalley James, age 66, passed on Thursday, April 17, 2008, at North Oaks Medical Center. A native of New Orleans and resident of Robert, Louisiana. She was born Thursday, March 19, 1942.
Beloved wife of Wesley Joseph James and mother of five sons: Michael Joseph and wife Crysie James, Steven Mark James, Troy Anthony and wife Sabrina James, David Paul James, and Christopher Hunt James. She is survived by six grandchildren: Hannah Raynebeaux and Wesley August James; and AJ, Christopher, Alyssa, and Ross Moreci. She is also survived by her brother Richard H. and wife Joan Chevalley, and sister Linda Chevalley Wilson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, August (Red) Frank Chevalley and Edith Gadmer Chevalley.

Wesley was born on Wednesday, March 19, 1941, in New Orleans.
He was a retired fireman for the Jefferson Parish Fire Dept.
Surviving are son & daughter-in-law, Michael Joseph and Crysie James, son, Steven Mark James, son & daughter-in-law, Troy Anthony and Sabrina James, son, David Paul James, son, Christopher Hunt James, grandchildren, Wesley August and Hannah Raynebeaux James, A.J., Christopher, Alyssa and Ross Moreci, great grandchildren, Caden and Kylee Moreci, brother, Kenneth James, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews,.He is preceded in death by wife, Janet Chevalley James, brother, Robert James Jr., sister, Gail Cate, parents, Robert Sr. and Mary James.
Friends will be received Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Hammond .
Services will be held at Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 2:00 pm.Family and friends are welcome to join us at Mike and Crysie's house immediately after services.
Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery Hammond, Louisiana.
