William Murfin was the son of Robert and Anne Murfin. [1]

1695 Daniel Smith, of Burlington, and Mary Murfin, of Nottingham Township, were married on July 2, at Francis Davenport's house, Burlington County, New Jersey. Witnessed by William Murfin and others. [2]

1704 William Murfin and Sarah Bunting made their second declaration of intention to marry, as recorded in the Chesterfield, Burlington County, monthly meeting minutes dated May 4. [3] [4]

1704 William Murfin, of Nottingham, and Sarah Bunting, of Chesterfield, were married on August 8, at Chesterfield. Witnesses: Johanna and John Murfin, John, Sarah, Samuel and John Bunting, Jr., Daniel Smith, Thomas Folkes, Anthony Woodward, Thomas Ridgway, John Bacon, Jos. Reckless and others. [5] [6] [7] [8]

1704 John Sykes and Joanna Murfin were married on October 19, at Chesterfield. Witnessed by William and Sarah Murfin and others [9] [10]

1709 William and Sarah Murfin witnessed the wedding of Isaac Horner, of Mansfield, and Elizabeth Sikes, of Chesterfield, on 19 of month 3, at Chesterfield, Burlington County, New Jersey. [11] [12]

1714 In his will, John Bunting named wife Sarah and children John, William, and Sarah Murfin. [13]

1725 On May 27, Avis Holloway and Samuel Schooley, both of Chesterfield, were married at Chesterfield Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. Witnessed by William and Sarah Murfin and others. [14] [15]

1723 The will of Sarah Bunting named daughter Sarah, wife of William Murfin. [16]

1705-1725 William Murfin and Sarah Bunting had 10 children. The names of their children, with birth dates were recorded in Quaker meeting records of Chesterfield Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. [17] [18] [19]

1724 Preserve Brown Jr. and Mary French were married on October 15. Witnessed by Wm and Sarah Murfin and others. [20] [21]

1729 The will of John Bunting, junior, named brother-in-law William Murfin. The executor, William Murfin, refuses to act, October 6, 1729. [22]

1733 Mathew Champion of Burlington named beneficiaries in his will, including kinsman William Murfin's children. John Murfin was named as brother-in-law of Mathew Champion. [23]

1739 "Friends appointed to attend the Quarterly Meeting are Richard French, John Sykes, William Murfin, James Clark, John Black, Benjamin Shreve.", dated on 3 of 11th month, at a meeting in Chesterfield. [24]

1742 The will of William Murfin of Nottingham, Burlington County was dated on 18th day 5th mo (July). The will named children Robert, William, Sarah, and Mary. John, Daniel, and Ann children of son William. Grandaughter Susanna Murfin. 260 acres of land surveyed the 22nd 23rd and 24th days of May 1738 also a Right to 200 acres in West Jersey and 350 acres at Bethlehem, Hunterdon Co. Executors wife Sarah and son William. Witnesses John Tantum, Isaac Arey, Jos Reckless. Proved Aug 27 1742. [25]

1742 The death date of William Murfin was reported as July 30, in the Chesterfield monthly meeting records, Burlington County, New Jersey. [26]

1742 The inventory for William Murfin, valued at £615.9.3, was made by Marmaduke Watson and William Bunting. The inventory included two Bibles and other books (£2.9). Dated August 18-19. [27]

1749 The death date of Sarah Murfin was reported as July 5, in the Chesterfield monthly meeting records, Burlington County, New Jersey (conflicts with 1754 will date). [28]

1754 Sarah Murfln, of Nottingham, Burlington County, widow, dated her will on October 1 (conflicts with death date . Grandson, John Murfin Williams, my red chest that was my son, Joseph's. Granddaughter, Ann Murfin, black trunk. Granddaughter, Sarah Large, and her sister, Mary Large, wheel, bed and other things. Son, William, and his son, John, ½ of the rest, and his daughter, Ann Murfin; the other ½ to my other grandchildren, Thomas, William and John, the children of my son, Robert Murfln, deceased. Executor: my son, William Murfln. Witnesses: Preserve Brown, Mary Brown, Joseph Schooley. Proved June 9, 1763. [29]

1762 The inventory for Sarah Murfin,valued at £86.6.2, was made by William Bunting and John Abbott. Dated August 14. [30]

1762 Sarah Murfin, wife of William Murfin Sr, and daughter of John and Sarah Bunting, died on 26 of month 7, at age about 76. [31]

1763 Sarah Murfin's will was proved on June 9, 1763 at Nottingham Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. [32]
