Eugene Bauerlein attended Notre Dame University in South Bend, Indiana. He served in World War I in France. He played semi-pro baseball and softball and tried out with the New York Yankees as catcher in St Petersburg, Fla. He worked in Mishawaka, Ind before retiring. He was an avid bowler at city, state & national levels.

Mabel Bauerlein graduated from Milwaukee Downer College, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She taught Home Economics at Measle Middle School in South Bend, Indiana. She was the PTA president, at Woodlawn Elementary School in St Petersburg, Fla. 1937-39. She was the World's best cook (according to daughter Betty) & seamstress. She was buried at lot 40, plot 3, Council Oak, Highland Cemetery, South Bend, Indiana.

1967 Eugene J Bauerlein Sr, married, son of Charles Bauerlein, spouse of Mabel Bauerlein, died on October 3, 1967, at age 75, in Mishawaka, Saint Joseph County, Indiana. Eugene J Bauerlein Sr was born on May 12, 1892, in Indiana. [16] [17]

Eugene J. Bauerlein Eugene J. (Dutch) Bauerlein, 75, of 636 Lincoln Way E., died at 4 p.m. Tuesday. in his residence after an illness of four months. He was born in Mishawaka, May 12, 1892, and lived here until 1925 when he moved to St Petersburg, Fla. He returned to Mishawaka in 1953. He married Mabel O. Good in Chicago, Nov. 8, 1934. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Eugene Bauerlein Jr., St. Petersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Donald Thomas, Clermount, Fla.; nine grandchildren, and two sisters, the Misses Edith and Anna Bauerlein, Mishawaka. Mr. v Bauerlein was a member of St. Josephs Church. He attended the University of Notre Dame and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a veteran of Wolrd War I. Friends may call in the Bubb Funeral Chapel … with the pastor, Very Rev. Msgr. Curt A. Suelzer, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's temetery.

1985 Mabel Ora Bauerlein died on August 26, in Pinellas County, Florida. [21] [22]
