1966 August F. “Red” Chevalley died on November 7 and was buried at Metairie Cemetery, New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana. An obituary states, [1]

Chevalley - On Monday, November 7, 1966 at 6:40 o'clock a.m. August F. (Red) Chevalley, husband of Edith Gadmer, father of Mrs. Wesley (Janet) James, Mrs. Gerald (Linda) Hebert and Richard Chevalley, son of Jeanette Boehm Chevalley and the late Emile Chevalley, also survived by two grandchildren.

Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of United States Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Columbia Radio, F.W. Woolworth, Shirer Casket Co., United Cab Co., Hooper Homes Bureau Inc., Floyd's Bar and Restaurant and memebrs of Metairie Post No. 175 American Legion and Auxiliary and Bucaneers Bowling League are invited to attend the funeral from the Home of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Inc., 4127 S. Claiborne Ave., (parking entrance adjoining), on Tuesday afternoon, November 8, 1966 at 2 o'clock.

Interment in Metairie Cemetery

1995 Edith Gadmer Chevalley died on April 20. Her last residence was New Orleans, Jefferson County, Louisiana. [2] The Social Security Claims Index states that she was born in New Orleans on September 25, 1915, and that her parents were Harry T. Gadmer and Edith E. Thompson. [3]
