The records below are confusing due to different names and inconsistent ages and dates.

1814 Jacob Ruhl was born on June 9, 1814 in York County, Pennsylvania.

1835 Jacob Ruhl and Margaret Lucas were married on April 19, 1835, in Richland County, Ohio. (FHL film 000388736). [1]

1836 Jacob Ruhl was taxed $0.32 for 4 cattle in Congress Twp, Morrow County, Ohio. [2]

1850 Jacob Ruhl (age 36) and Rebecca Rhul (age 35) lived in Congress Twp, Morrow County, Ohio with children Elizabeth (age 12), Margaret (age 11), Caroline (age 9), Henry (age 7), Jacob (age 4), and Juliana (age 1). Jacob Ruhl's estate was valued at $1600. Jacob and Rebecca Ruhl were born in Pennsylvania and all the children were born in Ohio. John F Garverick and Isaac Rhul were listed adjacent. Perhaps the names of Margaret and daughter Rebecca were reversed in the listing. [3] [4]

1857 Jacob Ruhl owned 160 acres in section 5, Congress Twp, Morrow County, Ohio near West Point. [5]

1860 Jacob Ruhl (age 46), and Margaret (age 45) lived in Congress Twp, Morrow County, Ohio with children Rebecca (age 21), Caroline (age 18), Henry (age 17), Jacob (age 14). [6] [7]

1860 Jacob Ruhl was named on the agricultural census for Congress Twp, Morrow County, Ohio with 50 improved acres and 70 unimproved acres. He had 4 horses and 4 cows. [8]

1866 Jacob H Rule and Elizabeth McWilliams married on December 20, at Morrow County, Ohio. [9]

1867 Jacob H Rule dated his will on April 17, in Morrow County, Ohio. The will gave the estate to wife Elizabeth and her heirs and gave one dollar to each of his children: Elizabeth, Margaret, Caroline, Henry, Jacob, and Juliann. The will mentioned land in the southwest quarter of the north east quarter of section 5, in township 18, range 20, Morrow County, Ohio. Wife Elizabeth was named executor. Witnessed by James and Peter Crop. The will was produced in court on November 5, 1867 by Henry H Ruhl. John Crawford was appointed administrator. [10]

1867 Jacob Ruhl died of cholera on October 4, in West Point, Morrow, County, Ohio. He was buried in Garverick cemetery. [11]

1880 Margaret Rule (age 68, born in Pennsylvania, widowed) lived in Blooming Grove, Morrow County, Ohio, in a household with daughter Caroline Rule (age 28). Margaret Rule's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. Margaret Rule's occupation was farmeress. [12]

1889 Widow Margaret Ruhl, born 1815 in Pennsylvania, died on August 29, in North Bloomfield, Morrow County, Ohio. [13]

1909 Rebecca Rule died on February 2, in Troy Twp, Richland County, Ohio. Rebecca Rule was born on April 17, 1839 and was was the daughter of Jacob Rule and Margaret Lucas. She was single. [14] [15]

1911 Jacob Ruhl, married, son of Jacob Ruhl and Margaret Ruhl, spouse of Jane Ruhl, died on January 5, 1911, at age 65, in Columbus Twp, Bartholomew County, Indiana. Jacob Ruhl was born on November 3, 2018, in Ohio. [16]

1935 Julia Ann Seif died on September 5, in North Bloomfield, Morrow County, Ohio. Julia was born on March 13, 1851 in Morrow County, Ohio. She lived at RD 3, Galion, Ohio. Her spouse was Frank Seif. Her parents were Jacob Rule and Margaret Lucas. [17]
