Complete Peerage states, [1]

Robert de Welle, s. and h. [of William de Welle and Emma, da. and h. of William de Grainsby](f) was possibly escheator in Lindsey, Lincs, in 1246.(g) He was granted free warren in his demesne lands, 9 Sep. 1251, and exemption from assizes, &c, Feb. 1251/2.(h) In Apr. 1264 he had protections to join King Henry.(i) He m. Isabel, 2nd da. and coh. of Adam de Periton, of Ellington, Northumberland, Faxton, Northants, and Rampisham, Dorset, probably by Sarah.(j) He d. shortly before 24 Sep. 1265.(k) His widow m., after 25 July 1266 and before 1269, William (de Vescy), Lord Vescy, who d. s.p.s. legit. 19 July 1297. She d. shortly before 5 Jan. 1314/5 and was bur. in Malton Priory, co. York.(l)
