1900 Isaiah and Anna Good lived in Turkey Creek, Kosciusko County, Indiana with children Amos I (age 19), William H (age 16), Irby (age 15), Levina (age 12), Lydian (age 9), James B (age 8), and Allen B (age 6). [4] [5] [6]

1900 Amos Isaac Good and Essie Grace Rogers were married on August 21 at Kosciusko County, Indiana. [7] [8] [9]

1902 Amos Good (age 22) and Essie Good (age 23) were members of the Methodist Church in Marion, Indiana. [10] [11]

1903 Amos I Good, laborer, and Essie lived at 1321 west 2nd Street in Marion, Grant County, Indiana. [12]

1908 Amos Good, chairmaker, and Essie lived in Marion, Indiana at the same address as father Isaiah. [13]

1908 Daughter Helen was born on March 24. [14]

1910 Amos Good, age 29, born in Indiana, married for 9 years, lived in Marion Ward 2, Grant County, Indiana, in a household with Essie Good (age 30), and Helen B Good (age 2). Amos Good's father was born in Ohio and his mother was born in Indiana. Amos Good could read and write. Amos Good's occupation was laborer, Shoe Factory, wage earner. [15] [16]

1912 Sister Lydian Good married Wilbur Sharon on August 14. Arthur and Ida Wirick drove a car to the wedding at the home of Isaiah and Anna in Marion, Indiana. Irby and Joseph's children met Henry's new baby Margaret.

1913 Amos Good's father Isaiah died. Amos's residence is listed as "this city" (Marion).

1918 Amos Isaac Good registered for the draft in Marion, Grant County, Indiana. Amos Good was a machinist at Ristenbury Motor Works, Marion, Grant County, Indiana. Essie G. Good was named his nearest relative. Amos was of medium height, stout build, with grey eyes and brown hair. [17]

1924 Amos Good's mother Anna died. Amos' residence was listed as Marion, Indiana.

1925 Amos and Essie Good, carpenter, lived at 211 S D Street in Marion, Indiana. [24] [25]

1930 Amos I Good, age 21, born in Indiana, married, first married at age 21, lived in Noble Twp, Wabash County, Indiana, in a household with Essie G Good (age 51), George L Young (age 26), Helen B Young (age 22), and mother-in-law Mary C Rogers (age 71). Amos I Good's parents were both born in Indiana. Amos I Good's occupation was operator, Gen Farm, working on own account. Amos I Good's residence was on a farm. The residence did not have a radio. 1940 Amos I Good and Essie G lived at 612 W 4th Street in Marion, Grant County, Indiana. [29] [30]

1940 I Amos Good, age 59, born in Indiana, married, lived at 612 W 4th Street in Marion Twp, Grant County, Indiana, in a household with G Essie Good (age 60), B Helen Young (age 32), and L James Young (age 9). I Amos Good's residence was not a farm. The highest grade of school he had completed was Elementary school, 8th grade. [31] [32] [33]

1945 Essie Grace Good, daughter of Jesse Rogers and Mary Bruce, died on February 25 at her home at 612 W 4th, Marion, Grant County, Indiana. Husband Amos Good provided information for the death certificate. [36]

1945 A newspaper reported [37] [38]:

Tragedy had struck twice today at the home of Amos Good, West Fourth Steet, Marion. When he called relatives in Indianapolis Sunday to reveal the death of his wife, Essie Grace Good, he was informed of the death of his brother, Dr. I. J. Good, Indianapolis, former Marion resident. Mrs. Good died suddenly Sunday morning, and Coroner B. C. Dale, who was called to investigate, said death was caused by coronary thrombosis. She had been in ill health. however, for several months. A member of the First United Brethern Church, Mrs. Good also was affiliated with the Shugart Women's Christian Temperance Union. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the church in which she was a member. Rev. A. Bash Arford, pastor, will conduct the rites, and burial will be in the IOOF cemetery. Survivors include the husband, one daughter, Mrs. Helen Young, and a grandson, all of Marion.

1945 Essie G Good was buried at the IOOF cemetery, Grant, Indiana, USA. Essie died on February 25 and was born on August 21, 1879. [41]

1959 Amos Isaac Good died on May 16 at age 50, in Marion, Grant County, Indiana. He died at his home at 612 West Fourth Street. He was a machinist in the radio industry. Daughter Helen Young provided information for his death certificate. [46]

1959 An obituary for Amos Good reported [47] [Photocopy, 1959 Obituary for Amos Good.]:

Amos I Good, 78, a resident of Marion for 50 years, died at 3:20 p.m. Saturday at his home at 612 W. Fourth St. He had been ill since suffering a stroke Thursday. A retired machinist, Mr. Good was the proprietor of the Good Apartments at his W. Fourth Street address. He was a member of the First EUB Church and served as head usher and taught the Homebuilders Sunday School class of that church. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Officiating will be the Reverend R.S. Miller, asisted by the Rev. R.E. Bowman. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Helen Young, Marion; a brother, Allen, Long Beach Calif.; three sisters, Mrs Arthur Wirick, and Mrs. Wilbur T. Sharon, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs Warren Bailey, Evanston, Ill.; and one grandchild. Friends may call at 504 W. Third St. after noon today. The body will remain at the funeral home until time for the services.

1959 Amos Good's death record indicates that his occupation was a machinist in domestic radio. He died of a cerebral hemorrhage (direct cause). He had had arteriosclerotic heart disease for several years. [Photocopy, 1959 Amos Good death record.] Amos I Good was buried at the IOOF cemetery, Grant, Indiana, USA. Amos died 16 May 1959 and was born 1 Aug 1880. [48]

Amos I Good (1880-1959) [49] [50] and Essie G Good (1879-1945) [51] [52] were buried at the Estates of Serenity Cemetery in Grant County, Indiana.
