1898 Joseph R Good and Maytie M Miller were married on October 23, in Kosciusko County, Indiana by L W Love. John Metzler and Sarah Good got a marriage license on 21 October, the same day as Joseph and Maytie. [3] [4] [5]

1900 Joseph Good (born in Indiana in Dec 1876, married) lived in Chester, Wabash County, Indiana, in a household with Maytie Good (age 19), and Mabel Good (age 8/12). Joseph Good's parents were both born in Indiana. Joseph Good's occupation was day laborer. [6] [7] [8]

1902 Mary C. Good, daughter of Joseph R Good and Mattie Miller, was born on January 7. [9] [10]

1903 Joseph R Good and Myrtle lived at 1325 west 2nd Street in Marion, Indiana. Joseph worked at Marion Iron and Brass Bed Company. [11]

1908 Joseph R Good, contractor, and Maytie lived at 1134 west 3rd Street in Marion, Indiana. [12]

1910 Joseph S Good (age 34, born in Indiana, married for 11 years) lived in South Bend Ward 1, Saint Joseph County, Indiana, in a household with Maytie Good (age 29), Mable Good (age 10), Harry Good (age 8), and Emoral Good (age 4). 1912 Sister Lydian Good married Wilbur Sharon on August 14. Arthur and Ida Wirick drove a car to the wedding at the home of Isaiah and Anna in Marion, Indiana. Irby and Joseph Good's children met Henry's new baby Margaret.

The highest grade of school he had completed was Elementary school, 8th grade. [28] [29] [30] Maytie Good (age 59, born in Indiana, married) was also listed living in St Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida. 1945 Joseph R Good (age 69) and Maytie Good (age 64) lived at 335 A, 5th Avenue North in St Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida. [33] [34]

1950 Joseph R Good (age 74, born in Indiana, married), father-in-law, lived in St Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida, in a household with Eugene J Bauerlein (age 57), Mabel R Bauerlein (age 50), Eugene J Bauerlein Jr (age 23), and Maytie M Good (age 69). [35]

1956 Joseph R. Good was buried at Highland Cemetery, South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. Joseph R. Good was born in 1875. [36] [37]

Joseph Good was a general contractor in South Bend, Indiana. He built homes in South Bend, Indiana from 1910 to 1950. He built homes in St Petersburg in the winter from 1930 to 1950. He liked gardening, fishing, horseshoes, croquet, carpentry, playing cards, and shuffleboard. He was buried at Highland Cemetery in Plot 1, South Bend, Indiana.

Maytie was a marvelous cook and seamstress and made many quilts. She made Joseph smoke his cigars outside the house. She orchestrated great barbeques and reunions at Shipshewanna Lake, Indiana. She is buried at Highland Cemetery: Joe in Plot 1 & Maytie in Plot 2.

1967 Maytie M. Good, daughter of Stephen Miller, died on December 19 at St. Joseph Hospital in Mishikawa, St Joseph County, Indiana. She lived at 636 Lincoln Way, East, in Mishikawa, Indiana. Mabel Bauerlein provided information for the death certificate. [38]

1967 Maytie M. Good was buried at Highland Cemetery, South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. Maytie M. Good was born in 1880. [39] [40]

1967 Obituary: Maytie Good, 87, of Lincoln Way E., South Bend died at St Joseph hospital. Her husband Joseph R Good died in 1956. They lived in South Bend from 1909 to 1941 and moved to Shipshewanna that year. She is survived by 1 daughter, Mrs Mabel Bauerlein of Mishawaka; 3 sons, Harry C Good of Lincoln, Neb, Emerald Good of Seattle, Wash., Richard G Good of Granger, and 1 sister, Mrs Hattie Fisher of Milford. Also 10 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Shipshewanna.


1967 Maytie M. Good died on December 19.
