1675 James Pharrow, son of James and Anne Pharrow was born on 30 of month 3, in the town of Hanes Greane, Nottinghamshire. [1] The name was also reported at Jervis? pharrow. [2]

1675 Gervas Pharo, son of James Pharo and Anne his wife was born on 1 of month 7, at Hornesgreet [Hanes Greane?] in Nottinghamshire in Old England. [3] [4] Jarvis Pharo was also reported born 5m [July] 31d, 1675 in Lincolnshire, England [5] [6].

1689 John Murfin of Doctor [Bartar] Creek, West Jersey, bachelor, sold to Gervas Pharo of Nottingham Woodhouse, West Jersey, bachelor, for all the town lots in Burlington Township, belonging to ½ of a 5 pound share or 1-32 of a share of the Province. Dated October 16. [7] [8]

1695 Gervas Pharo was a resident of Nottingham Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. [9]

1695 Daniel Smith, of Burlington, and Mary Murfin, of Nottingham Township, were married on July 2, at Francis Davenport's house, Burlington County, New Jersey. Witnessed by Anne Farrah, Mary Farrah, Ann Farrah, and Jarves Farrah and others. [10]

1695-96 Gervas Pharoe was appointed overseer of the wayes this side Sent Pink (Assanpink). [11] [12]

1696 Jervas Pharo served on the Burlington Court jury. [13]

c 1697 (nodate) Return of Survey for John Scholey, of 50 acres adjoining Matthew Champion. "Sold to Gervis Pharo." [14]

1697 Mathew and Katherine Champion of Oneanickon, Burlington County, yeoman, and Katharine, "his now wife," formerly Widow Beard, sold land to Gervas Pharo, late of Drayton House, said county, yeoman. The deed, dated June 1, was for a plantation of 200 acres, of which 100 acres were sold to said Katharine, then widow Beard, by George Hutcheson, on May 25, 1691, and 50 acres by John Scholey, on July 10, 1691, and 50 acres to Mathew Champion by Thomas Budd, on February 2, 1696-7. 1697 Daniel Leeds of Burlington County, yeoman, sold land to Gervas Pharo, late of Nottingham Township, said county, yeoman. The deed, dated June 18, was for two lots: 1, in Springfield Township, same county, between Thomas Clerk and Hananiah Gaunt with 13 acres of meadow; 2, in the same township, adjoining John Stacy, in all 106 acres. 1697 John Scholey of Burlington County, husbandman, sold land to Gervas Pharo, late of Nottingham, said county, yeoman. The deed, dated June 18, was for for 50 acres in said county, adjoining Mathew Campion. [18] [19]

1698 Samuel Vaus of New Castle, Penna: merchant, by his agent Daniel Leeds of Springfield, Burlington County, sold land to Thomas Duggles of said county, yeoman. The deed, dated May 2, was for a plantation of 200 acres in Springfield Township, along a brook, next to Samuel Vaus senior, adjoining Thomas Scholey, Hananiah Gaunt, Thomas Budd and Gervas Pharoe. 1698 Gervas Pharo served on the Burlington Court jury. Dated May 9. [21]

1700 Jarvis Pharo was an overseer in Burlington County. Dated February 20, 1699-1700. [22]

1700 Gervas Pharo of Oreanickon, Burlington County, bachellor, son and heir of James Pharo of Nottingham, same county, dec'd, sold land to Daniel Smith of Burlington, fellmonger. The deed, dated March 10, 1699-1700, was for the lots on the Island of Burlington, belonging to 2-64 of a share of West Jersey [23] [24]

1700 Hananiah Gaunt sold land to Gervas Pharo, both of Burlington County, yeomen. The deed, dated December 21, was for 200 acres to be taken out of the 220 acre lot in Burlington County, S. E. of Samuel Houghton and Thomas Clark. [25]

1701 Jarvis Faro of Springfield, Burlington County, New Jersey, and Elizabeth Willits, daughter of Hoop and Mary Willits of Hempstead, Long Island, were married in month 1, at Hempsted, Long Island, New York. [26] [27] On March 14, 1701 (14 day 1 month) Gervas Phaoro Elizabeth Willits (1681-1769), daughter of Hope and Mercy (Langdon) Willits. [28] [29]

no date Jarvis Pharo and wife were elders in the meeting of Friends at Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey. [30] [31]

1703 Richard Ridgway junior, yeoman, sold land to Jeffery Cambs, husbandman, both of Springfield Township, Burlington County. The deed, dated March 13, 1702-3, was for 58 acres, part of the land bought by grantor and Gervas Pharo of Ananias Gant; adjoining grantor. [32]

1702 Charles Wolverton sold land to Gervas Pharo, both of Burlington County, yeomen. The deed, dated March 28, was for a plantation of 150 acres in Chesterfield Township, said county, bought of Wm. Pancoast May 12, 1696, as surveyed to said William's father, John Pancoast. [33]

1702 Gervas Pharo witnessed a deed for John and Elizabeth Dixon in Springfield Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. [34]

1704 William Murfin and Sarah Bunting were married on August 8, at Chesterfield. Witnesses: Gervas Pharo and others. [35]

1704 John Sykes and Joanna Murfin were married on October 19, at Chesterfield. Witnessed by Gervas Pharo and others [36]

1706 Jarvis Pharoe, yeoman, of Burlington, West New Jersey sold land to William Kirby, yeomen, of same. The deed, dated March 14, was for a 150 acre plantation that sold for £230. Signed Gervas Pharoe & Elizabeth Pharoe. Wit: J. Bass, Charles Wolverton & John Morehead. [37]

1709 Gervas Pharo from Little Egg Harbor requested help to prepare the deeds for their new meeting house. [38]

1711 Son James Pharo and Ruth Smith were married on 6m 4d, at Cape May, New Jersey. [39]

1715 Jarvis Pharo and Richard Osborn were selected as oversers of the Little Egg Harbor monthly meeting in Burlington County, New Jersey. Jarvis was appointed an elder. Elizabeth Pharo was selected as an overseer. [40]

1720 Jarvis or Gervas Pharo, known locally as Garvey, lived in the 1720's at West Creek, three miles north of Tuckerton, Ocean County, New Jersey. According to tradition, he built the type of clam and oyster boat used on the shore waters in that area. This boat, known as the Garvey, replaced the Indian dugout, used previously. [41] [42]

1724 James Pharo and Gervas Pharo made the inventory for the estate of Thomas Ridgeway in Little Egg Harbor, Burlington County, New Jersey. [43]

1756 Jarvis Pharo died on 11m 18d. [44]

1757 Gervis' brother James' will dated 1757 mentioned "cousin" James, son of Jarvis Pharo, deceased, and named 6 children of James.

1761 Elizabeth Pharo, wife of Gerves Pharo, was granted a certificate from Chesterfield, to Little Egg Harbor. Dated on 3 of month 12. [45] [46]

1769 Widow Pharo died on 10m 15d. [47]

Jarvis Pharo and wife Elizabeth were buried at Tuckerton graveyard. [48]
