1840 Mary's father John Page lived in Washington Twp, Clermont County, Ohio with a daughter [perhaps Mary, age 15-19] and other siblings. [2]

1849 William Slye was appointed postmater at Nicholsville, Clermont County, Ohio. [3]

1850 John Page (age 55) and Rachel Page (age 53) lived in Washington Twp, Clermont County, Ohio, with Asahel Page (age 25), Mary Ann Page (age 21), Rebecca Page (age 19), Thomas B Page (age 17). [4] [5]

1853 Miss M Page was a teacher in the Clermont county schools. [6]

1860 Mary A Page (age 30) lived in Washington, Clermont County, Ohio, at post office Laurel, with John Page (age 65), Rachel Page (age 63), Amanda Light (age 15), Samuel Robins (age 18), Mary C Light (age 10), and John Gain (age 20). [7]

1870 Mary A Page (age 35, born in Ohio) lived in Washington, Clermont County, Ohio, at post office Point Isabel, with John Page (age 75), Rachel Page (age 73), Amanda Light (age 20), and Mary C Light (age 18). [8]

1880 William Slye (age 71, born in Ohio, married) lived in Monroe Twp, Clermont County, Ohio, in a household with Elizabeth Slye (age 71). William Slye's father was born in Virginia and his mother was born in Maryland. William Slye was a village merchant. [9]

1884 William Slye and Mary A Page were married on August 21, 1884 in Clermont County, Ohio. [10] [11]

1888 In the June term of the Clermont County court, Mary A. Sly was listed among several plaintiffs, regarding the estate of [her father] John Page. [12]

1891 Land of W H Slye was shown on Twelve Mile Creek, in Monroe Twp, in an 1891 atlas of Clermont County. Hugh McNair was shown nearby [see 1900 census listing]. [13] [14]

1898 William Slye died on March 14, 1898 and was buried at Old Bethel M.E. Churchyard, Bethel, Clermont County, Ohio. William Sly was born on August 31, 1808. [15] [16]

Son of Nancy Ann Prather Slye (her place of burial as yet to be located). William Slye and Elizabeth McCollum were married on August 29, 1833 at Clermont County, Ohio.

1900 Mary A Slye (born in Nov 1824 in Ohio, widowed) lived in Monroe Township (north half), Clermont County, Ohio. Mary A Slye's father was born in New Jersey and her mother was born in Kentucky. Hugh McNair was listed nearby [see 1891 atlas listing]. [17] [18]

1910 Mary Slye (age 85, born in Ohio, widowed), aunt, lived in Washington Twp, Clermont County, Ohio, in a household with P D Aultman (age 67), Mary Aultman (age 60), and Charley Aultman (age 19). Mary Slye's father was born in New Jersey and her mother was born in Kentucky. Mary Slye could read and write. [Mary Aultman was formerly Mary Light, daughter of David Light and Sarah Jane Page.] [19]

Research Notes:

Mary Page Sly had a family bible from Thomas Page, her grand-father, as described by a great grand-daughter of Thomas Page [the description of the bible is shown in our notes of Thomas Page]. The description reported that Mary was age 84 in 1892 and that she died at age 89.

Mary Page's death date has been reported as November 10, 1912. [We seek a source, or correction, for this date].
