1796 James Scholey, son of James and Mary Scholey, was born on 3 of month 2, in Burlington County, New Jersey. [1] [2]

1815 Benjamin Schooley and Ann Kirkbride Ivins were married on May 4, at the Chesterfield Meeting of Friends. Witnessed by James Schooley and others. [3]

1821 James Schooley Jr and Mary Scott were married on March 28, by Justice of the Peace Taylor, in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10]

1824 James Schooley the younger, of Nottingham Twp, Burlington County, purchasesd land from Isaac B Hutchinson and his wife Lucy. [11]

1826 James Schooley and wife Mary sold land to James Schooley Junior, all of Nottingham Twp. Witnessed by Rebecca Schooley and John B Abbott. Dated January 10. [12]

1830 Mary Schooley, wife of James Schooley, was named in an estate account of Israel Scott, with widow Mary Scott. [13]

1830 Articles of agreement for the estate of Israel Scott, of Nottingham Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. Dated February 26. Division among his widow, Mary Scott and all his children: John Scott; Elizabeth (Scott) Warman, wife of William Warman; Sarah (Scott) Pearson, wife of John W. Pearson; Rachel (Scott) Probasco, wife of William Probasco; Ruth (Scott) McKinsey; Charity (Scott) Bowne; Phebe (Scott) Occurman (Ackerman); Samuel Scott; Joseph Scott; Robert Scott; & Mary (Scott) Schooley, wife of James Schooley. April 1st 1830. There were several tracts called the Plantation. One was purchased of Elias Phillips of Maidenhead on 2 January, 1787. The second was called Burnt Swamp, purchased from Rebecca Cadwalader on 20 October 1792. [14]

1830 James Schooley (age 30-40) lived in Nottingham Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey in a household with Males: one age 0-5 (son William?), one age 30-40; and Females: two age 0-5 (daughters Ellen and Phebe?), two age 5-10 (Margaret and ?), one age 20-30 (?). Next door were brothers Isaac and Benjamin Schooley. [15] [16]

1831 James Schooley and Mary Scott were married on March 28, 1831 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. [17] [18] [19]

1840 James Schooley (age 40-50), perhaps this one, lived in Nottingham Twp, Mercer County, New Jersey with Males: one age 5-10, one age 10-15 and Females: one age 0-5, 2 age 10-15, two age 15-20, one age 30-40). [20] [21]

1850 James Schooley (age 54, born in New Jersey) lived in Hamilton Twp, Mercer County, New Jersey, in a household with Mary Schooley (age 46), Phebe A Schooley (age 24), William B Schooley (age 22), Ellen Schooley (age 21), Sarah J Schooley (age 9), and Mary Schooley (age 3). [22] [23] [24]

1852 "James S Schooley, deceased, without having made a will, of Hamilton Twp, Mercer County (formerly Nottingham Twp, Burlington County). Applicant: On 26 January, James Schooley of Hamilton Twp, a son, petitioned for a partition of the estate. Other children: Joseph Schooley; Benjamin Schooley; Isaac Schooley; Sarah (Schooley) wife of Charles Hughes; Ann (Schooley) wife of James Ivins; Mary (Schooley) wife of Daniel Wainwright; and grandchildren of James S Schooley, dec'd, namely Mary, Sarah, and Clement Rockhill, the children of a deceased daughter, Rebecca (Schooley) Rockhill, the former wife of Joseph Rockhill. Each claiming an undivided 1/8th share. Dated April 29th 1852." [25] [26]

1860 James Schooley (age 64) and Mary Schooley (age 56) lived in Trenton, Hamilton Twp, Mercer County, New Jersey with Isaac Price (age 29), Ellen Price (age 30), Sarah J Schooley (age 19) and Mary L Schooley (age 13). [27] [28]

1870 James Schooley (age 74) and Mary Schooley (age 65) lived in Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey in a household with Ellen G Price (age 35), James W Price (age 6), Charles Price (age 2), Mary L Schooley (age 19), William Wallace (age 48), and William K Clapp (age 74). [29] [30]

1871 James Schooley died on October 1 at Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey and was buried at Riverview Cemetery, Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey. James Schooley was born in 1795. [31] [32]

He resided at 76 Hanover Street, Trenton, NJ.

1871 James Schooley's will was dated 12 Oct 1871. The will was in probate court in Mercer, New Jersey, USA, on 24 Jul 1871. The will named Mary Schooley (Wife), Phebe Schooley (Daughter), Elleanor Schooley (Daughter), James Schooley (Son), William B Schooley (Son), and James Walter (Grandson). [33]
