1850 John Culp (age 46, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Beaver Twp, Mahoning County, Ohio, in a household with Cristina Culp (age 46), Susanah Culp (age 23), Simeon Culp (age 21), Soloman Culp (age 20), Elizabeth Culp (age 18), Henry Culp (age 16), Frederick Culp (age 15), Abraham Culp (age 12), Anna Culp (age 10), and Peter Culp (age 7). [1]

1852 John and Joseph Beare, administrators for the estate of John Beare, deceased, of Mahoning County were parties to a deed. John Beare had devised a tract to daughter Christina and her husband John Culp. The consent of the administrators was required for conveyance and sale of the tract to John Moyer. [2]

1857 Christina Baer Culp died on Jun. 21, 1857 and was buried at Old Yellow Creek Cemetery, Southwest, Elkhart County, Indiana. Christina Baer Culp was born Feb. 5, 1803. [3]

1900 John, Sr. Culp died at age 95 Yr, on January 27, 1900 in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana. [4]

1900 John Culp died on Jan. 27, 1900 and was buried at Old Yellow Creek Cemetery, Southwest, Elkhart County, Indiana. John Culp was born Jun. 7, 1804. [5]

Culp - John Culp was born in Fayette Co., Pa., June 7, 1804; died near Foraker, Ind., Jan. 27, 1900, aged 95 years, 7 months and 20 days. He came to Ohio in 1816, united in matrimony with Christina Baer in 1825. To this union were born 14 children, of whom seven are living. He came to Indiana in 1852. His companion died in 1857. He was again united in matrimony in 1858, to Elizabeth Anglemeyer. She died in 1887. The remaining relatives are 7 children, 27 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was a member of the Mennonite Church for 75 years. His oldest son was the oldest man in Elkhart county that had a father living. Funeral services were held at Yellow Creek by Noah Metzler and James H. McGowen. Text, 2 Tim. 4:6-8.
