For a biosketch, see [2]:

Caleb Ivins, Sr., married Sarah Wright, the great-grand-daughter of Mahlon Stavey. His son, Caleb, Jr., married Edith Ridgway, daughter of Barzillai Ridgway and Rachel Murrell. It is written of them:

Caleb Ivins was a merchant in Hornerstown. Himself and wife were Friends. ... Mrs. Ivins was a lovely spirited woman, liked by all. She subsequently joined the Baptist Church.

Some of the members of this family espoused the Mormon religion and entered into plural marriage, believed, taught and practiced by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
